    1. I love Gemma Halliday and her High Heels series. It's my favorite girly, cozy mystery series by far. Gemma can be cheesy at times, but she's also quite funny. I think as far as chick-lit goes she's an excellent writer. If this is the type of book I'm in the mood for Gemma is my go to girl.I didn't know the High Heels series was going to continue to be honest. I was glad to see it did, though, and once again was able to jump right back in to the mystery and suspense with Maddie! I adore her best [...]

    2. I'm trying to decide if the killer revealing themselves because Maddie and her friends are "getting too close", even though they are nowhere near figuring out who the killer really is, is getting tiresome or is still amusing . . . So far, still amusing, in a Scooby-Doo kind of way.Randomly, Dana thinking her boyfriend wouldn't sign on to do a sequel to a popular movie because a business venture he barely owns a part of does good, kind of annoyed me because of it's ridiculousness. As if that woul [...]

    3. I love Maddie and the high heels series, yes the books are far from perfect but they are entertaining and Fearless in high heels is no exception. A fun, fast and at times a rather silly read.

    5. I love the character of Maddie Springer. I have read the complete High Heels series. There is nothing quite like Maddie and her detective husband Jack Ramirez and the cast of quirky characters they are involved with when she is always running into dead bodies and they all try to solve it. Of course Maddie and her friends should be staying out of the investigation which continually upsets her husband who is trying to solve the crime. I hope this isn't the last in the series. This is a fun series [...]

    6. A funny, quick, entertaining summer read! This book does not take itself seriously, so if you are searching for an intense murder mystery, this is not the book for you. However, if you are looking for something amusing to take your mind of off the real world--this book might be just the thing for you. Don't look for believability--look for a couple of laughs instead.

    7. Just finished Fearless in High Heels by Gemma Halliday. Light and fun, she always aims to please. Very similar to Evanovich's style of writing. This book was a bit quirky - with a vampire theme, however I love her characters. 3 of 5 stars

    8. Hmmm pregnant and still trying to solve murders that she consistently stumbles across? A little too much internal whining this time but I am still moving on to the next one.

    9. Alway staying true to the series. Maddy & Dana on the hunt for another killer -This time to help Dana. and with a pregnant Maddy.

    10. (Deutsche Kritik weiter unten)Morning sickness, baby dolls and vampiresThe plot:Maddie - highly pregnant, murderously hungry and deadly lethargic - has spent most of her days on the sofa lately, binge-eating and sighing over campy vampire movies. Her best friend Dana decides that enough is enough! She drags Maddie into a trendy new club to give her some new energy and something else to think about but her pregnancy. It works only too well - finding a dead girl with bitemarks on her neck in the l [...]

    11. The readers win again with another fun murder mystery by Gemma Halliday! Maddie and her favorite cop are married and expecting, but that doesn't stop her from getting involved in murder investigations, much to husband's dismay. Lots of humor and the perfect book to escape into. Caroline Shaffer does wonderfully at differentiating the different characters (and they certainly are! ).

    12. Maddie and her gang have managed to get themselves involved in another murder. I love this series as it is funny but also quirky at times, makes me laugh and also try to figure out who the killer is. The baby calling a bump or just pointing to her stomach is annoying. Maddie is pregnant in this book which I am ok with. It is the clueless of her about having a baby and how at times she won't really refer to being pregnant but just kind of point to her midsection and call it the bump. Very annoyin [...]

    13. This book was a 180 from the previous books and not in a good way. Maddie is expecting and nobody is happy about that other than her and Det. Ramirez. Maddie's BFFs are either calling her fat or trying to get Maddie to return to her single and carefree days, especially Dana. Dana has no problem asking Maddie to go undercover with her or go to Dana's boyfriend's new nightclub. Dana has no problem putting Maddie and the bump in peril; considering how the previous books ended, Maddie faced at least [...]

    14. Helen for Big Book Little BookPlease note that this review contains spoilers for the previous books in this series.I have been avid follower of this series since I picked the first one for free on my Kindle. The box set followed next and then the novella, so I was excited to see that a new one arrived last year. It has taken me a while to get around to reading it however! The series centres on Maddie Springer who is, to be frank, a little ditzy. She is a proper girlie girl, into clothes and a sho [...]

    15. This book featured an interesting change for Maddie, as she was pregnant and had little to no idea about how to plan for a baby, while also trying to solve a murder so her best friend could live with her movie-star boyfriend in peace. This was one of the few times that Maddie actually investigates a murder for Dawn's sake - the murder took place at a club, the club is partly owned by Dawn's boyfriend, Ricky, and if the club doesn't re-open and start making money soon, Ricky will end up making mo [...]

    16. Previously reviewed on simplylowcountryI have been a huge fan of the High Heels books since I came across the first, "Spying in High Heels" as a free download on Kindle. The books are funny reads that have a plot, but don't make you think to hard. Most of the time I can never guess the criminal. This book, Fearless in High Heels, wasn't my favorite in the series. My favorites are books 1, 2, and 4. The series has provided the perfect blend of cozy and chick lit and once I start one of Gemma's bo [...]

    17. This was a fun read, a good mystery, and I loved the Vampire theme : ) Baby so lifelike made me LOL! A light fun way to spend time either reading or listening to on audible.

    18. Maybe it's that I've read all of the high heels books to date. Maybe it's that I'm starting to get into the mind of an amateur sleuth (ha! right!), or maybe Gemma Halliday is getting predictable (unlikely), but I knew who the killer was about halfway through. Regardless, I really enjoyed this installment of the High Heels books. I think Maddie continued to be fun, and her pregnancy added something to stories. Her mother and Mrs. Rosenblatt were especially insane over it (although, I think it wou [...]

    19. Fearless in High Heels - High Heel Mystery Series #6 - (Jack and Maddie) - Maddie tells the story how she saves Betty White.Morning sickness sucks. Which is why fashion designer turned amateur sleuth Maddie Springer has spent the last six weeks being a couch potato and Moonlight vampire movie devotee. But when Maddie's best friends finally convince her to venture out, Maddie stumbles on a dead body of a girl who has been bitten on the neck, and life suddenly imitates art in the most deadliest of [...]

    20. Maddie's best friend, Dana, decides it is time for the 5 months pregnant Maddie to get out and about and she has the perfect plan. Her movie star boyfriend has become a partner in a new club and the girls need to check it out. After being insulted by a young woman in the club (hey, she is 5 months pregnant), Maddie stumbles on the insulter, dead, in the ladies room. All indications are that the young woman had been drained of all her blood and had two puncture wounds on her neck. Maddie, Dana an [...]

    21. This was my first book by Ms. Halliday and for the most part it was exactly what I expected, an easily digested fluffy crime novel. However, upon reading the page where she actually uses the sentence "You gotta lot of 'splainin to do Lucy," it took every single ounce of willpower I could muster to not throw my Nook across the room. Authors, please take note. That sentence should never be uttered outside of an I Love Lucy re-run and it should never, ever, EVER be used in a book. It's over, give i [...]

    22. I'm hooked on this series. I enjoyed reading every one of the 5 books I read already (except Alibi in high heels). However, I'm catching a pattern in the plot. I hope I don't see it again in her next book. It would be really frustrating. The typing errors are less than last time, and the fact that Maddie is married and pregnant gives the book a new flavor.I didn't understand why 2 call girls have the credit card of their boss to use as they please. The book never explained the reason for this.I'm [...]

    23. Book #6 of High Heels MysteryI knew what I was going into when I first read this book, still I like the old, old Maddie so much that I keep hoping that she might get a little more drama in her life; I know that's wishful thinking; the author does a great job of keeping this series as vanilla as possible, and I have to give her credit for that. I have to admit, I like JackI just don;t like how protective he is of her, (even though he seems to loosen up a bit in this story.) Anyway. This story is [...]

    24. As always, Maddie has a propensity for finding dead bodies, and then wanting to hunt down the culprit herself. But, in this book, more so than any other, I was thinking - what are you doing, Maddie? You are expecting, you shouldn't be trying to track down a murderer! One thing that I also didn't like about the book was the design of the book itself. The others in the series that I read were mass market paperbacks, and decently designed, but this one seemed really cheap, and the text wasn't even [...]

    25. I love this series. Maddie is just too funny and I absolutely love her husband Ramirez. The dynamics between them can always make me smile. Even though she doesn't actively go out seeking dead bodies, they somehow find her and even though her sleuthing drives Ramirez crazy, he loves her so he just accepts it. This book is just as good as the other ones before it and I already have book #7 downloaded onto my kindle and ready to go.

    26. I was really liking the High Heels Mystery series. They easy reads but I feel like the main character was thrown in with her leading man too quickly and too easily. There was a short reference of a possible love triangle with Felix in the previous couple of books but it never even stemmed in the slightest. And this last book didn't have any mention of him. As much as I do like Maddie and Ramirez together I just felt like it was just done too easily.
