    1. I liked the idea of this book far more than the reality.Seven short stories - one for each day of the week - for your bedtime enjoyment, and while they started off OK, they steadily got weirder. And weirder. The strangeness included an amnesiac mermaid, an historical with a Dr. whose specialty is pleasuring women with machines of his invention (I kid you not) and a slutty fairytale re-telling.Ummm. 2. Yowza!!! If you want a weeks worth of hot bedtime stories, these are definitely for you. Several of them had me groaning when they ended so quick, but that's not unusual with one of Ms. Devlin's books. I'd say it's a definite worth your read!

    3. Strokes is a collection of some of Delilah Devlin's short stories--intended to be some light bedtime or any-time-you-need-a-heatrush reading, each one is a delicious bit to savor, like a choice chocolate from a deluxe variety box. The couples and settings give us a peek at different times and circumstances and places, but all of them d [...]

    4. I've never been a big fan of short stories but I've started to really enjoy reading lately. Strokes is a collection of seven stories that the author says are intended to be read as bedtime stories. A week's worth of naughty bedtime reading. The stories were well written, satisfying reads. I really enjoyed, "Dr. Mullaley's Cure" which is a steampunk story with some very interesting inventions. "The Morning Ride" was also an interesting sweet story about 2 commuters who fantasize about one another [...]

    5. The first story and the last two were really good. The ones in between were just ok. Overall it was a decent quick read.

    6. A couple of the short stories were pretty good, but the rest left much to be desired. Not as impressed with this one as I thought I would be.
