    1. Paul Turner is a Chicago Police homicide detective. He's also a widower, a father of two teen-aged boys, and gay man who never seems to have enough time to spend with the man he loves Now if only this city of broad shoulders would return to just being hog-butcher of the world, Paul could spend some time sorting out his life instead of the murders that keep him busy. This time when two teenaged athletes go missing and turn up dead, Paul and his partner are handed the case. Now he's faced with wea [...]

    2. Rating : 3.8/5.0 - This was a good short read, story was engaging from the start characters were believable even if not the most memorable (although the MC work partner is hilarious their work relationship is like a character in itself) . The author does a good job painting a gritty storyline, I was prepped to give this 4 stars but somewhere along the end details and methods of the investigation got a bit cloudy and convoluted and the killer is revealed in like the last 4 pages just seemed a bit [...]

    3. This is the third book in the Paul Turner mysteries. In this book we find Detectives Turner & Fenwick investigating two murders of star athletes. The pressure is on for Paul and Buck to solve these brutal murders of seemingly good boys who seem to do no wrong. Also, Paul realizes that he is upset that he is not able to spend time with either his kids and the love of his life Ben Vargas. On another note that is sure to impact his family, Rose Talucci admits to Paul that she has cancer and mig [...]

    4. Interesting mystery, good writing. Gay themed. Never thought I'd enjoy a gay themed book. But even a straight dude like me can appreciate a good writing effort. This is actually the third book by this author that I've read. I feel the same about the other two books. I was, however, a bit troubled by how much the sex lives of the characters played into the story line. I suppose a more thoughtful treatment of the gay lifestyle is more difficult to write. But the author does well in giving us a win [...]

    5. This is a fun little mystery. I like that it presents the gay characters as people. While my first read in this series it will not be my last.
