    1. Wow, just wow! Now that's GA Hauser I love! The whole summary was like full of my kinks: age difference, class difference - my favorite tropes and the story itself didn't disappoint.I really loved both guys, I loved how Wade seemed to be the more insecure one, even though he's older and more experienced, but he's fearing that his heart's gonna be broken and he has pretty valid reasons for it. But Ayden's sincerity and innocence little by little removing all doubts Wade's having and teaching him h [...]

    2. Okay so this was a book where there was a noticeable age difference between the two MC's. Wade (40) and Ayden (22). It's a big gap and most people would hate that, for me it allowed the story to develop nicely and it was what attracted me to the story. It was more a comfort read than anything and it was something I needed.Out of the two MC's Ayden was my favourite. He was sweet, funny and a ball of energy. The smarter of the two MC's in many ways I fell in love with him quickly and easily. It wa [...]

    3. Wade, A successful but jaded, world weary 40 something from L.A. gets stranded in a remote part of rural California. There he meets (is sorta rescued by) Ayden, the way too sheltered to be 22 years old, youngest, virginal, gay, son of an almond farmer. I was expecting a pure wish-fulfillment story but was actually surprised when this novel delivered all that and more besides. This is a coming out novel of sorts, a tale of a May October relationship of sorts and even a tale of two families becomi [...]

    4. I used to like this wirter or rather her very early MM days books. These past few years, her stories are just stereotype and bland. Meet on the same day, have sex on the same day, decide to live together on the same day, happy life, happy sex.is sums up the whole story. What happened to the Ayden's family's antagonistic feelings towards Ayden ? All conveniently resolved at the end and everyone get along happily ever after. So shallow and redundant. This is the type of stories which cheapen the w [...]

    5. *opens book*It was four a.m. and twenty-three year old Ayden Solomon was already sitting at the kitchen table in the country farmhouse on his family's almond orchard in California's Great Central Valley.*closes book*

    6. Beware---SPOLIERS!!!Ok So the synopsis of this book really played up how much Wade and Ayden shared of themselves in one night of being stranded. Fine, I had to suspend belief in reality in order to buy what came after one night; but like I mentioned, the synopsis buttered me up for that. That being said, I really resent how this story drew me in and begged me to feel hurt and outrage on Ayden's behalf, only to give it this hearts and daisies, watered down, resolution in the end. By the time the [...]

    7. 2.5 HeartsReview written for MM Good Book Reviewsmmgoodbookreviews.wordpress/This book unfortunately was not to my satisfaction. It started with an interesting idea, with two men coming from two different worlds. The city guy, whose family was very supportive of him while completely shunning the stray son, and the farmer boy, whose life always was miserable in the middle of nowhere with no one to understand him, let alone accept him. Add to that the age gap between the two men and you have a sto [...]

    8. Really enjoyed this one by Hauser!! And thank God there was no mention of the "Androgynous (story hogging) Mark Richfield." I really enjoyed reading about two new MCs with a beautifully interesting story. The chemistry between the "Clueless Farmer" and the "City Slicker" was enticingly different. Way to Go!

    9. Hot Gay romanceG. A. Hauser is a gifted writer. She knows how to write a story and make it work. Triggers: Fear of being assaulted, car stuck on lonely road, fog boundAll Wade Reed wanted to do was make it to his brother, Cole’s parole hearing at Corcoran State Prison. But the forty year old environmental planner from LA, never made it. With a bad navigation system and the infamous Tule fog, Wade ended up on a road to nowhere, his BMW stuck in the mud. 10. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first one I read by G. A. Hauser. It just seemed a little far fetched to me. I liked the main characters and their meeting was fun, but after one night together they suddenly are ready to commit to each other. The last half of the book just didn’t ring true.

    11. I really enjoyed this book! It was a little out there in believability but sometimes that's okay if the story is really well written and I thought this one was!Ayden is a farmer's son who's been stuck working for his family's almond farm instead of making a career with the comics he draws, gay superheroes Neo Magnay and Booverly He doesn't get along with his family very well except for his granddad and one day he's out cutting trees to get away from them when he spots some faint headlights in th [...]

    13. Good storyline, suffocated by home and family, 22 year old Ayden draws comic book hero's and longs for the day he can leave the family farm. Wade, a mature, cynical 40 year old, gets lost in the fog going to see his brother in prison and ends up in a ditch and the two meet under extreme circumstances. I liked that Ayden took the chance and made the escape and Wade took the chance to trust again. It was a bit of a whirlwind, but l loved they slotted well into each others lives, including Ayden's [...]

    14. Review: Great read ifyou enjoy romance stories, m/m fiction, small time hits big city stories, two words colliding, following your dreams, going after what you really want, first loves, true loves, stories filled with passion, hot sex scenes, graphic sex scenes, family issues, facing yourself, being true to yourself, facing homosexuality issues, and a well deserved HEA.Side note: It wasn't exactly as amazing as I was hoping for. I definitely fell in love with the two main characters and their fa [...]

    15. I LOVED the characters in this book. They meet when Ayden finds Wade stuck in a ditch in the rain on his family's Almond farm. Ayden has known he was gay for years, but living in a farming town, with a family full of brothers that love to torment him hes never admitted it. Meeting Wade changes everything for him. Wade is so afraid to believe that it can be real with Ayden, he's 40 and Ayden is 22. Why would Ayden want someone like him? But he does, Ayden loves him from the minute he meets him. T [...]

    16. Delicious!!It's a bit of a Cinderella fairy tale at first and I was worried that was the direction it would go but the author did a beautiful job of turning into a heartwarming and sexy read.I read another reviewer stating they didn't think the family scene was believable but I disagree. Ayden shocked the hell out of them by disappearing overnight only to return to announce he was gay and leaving to move to L.A. with a stranger. Of course they were angry and awful things were said and done. Retu [...]

    17. Before reading that bookonce i was going through the reviews.d someone wrote that it was like a fairy tale novel and especially the ending.d i very well agry with it wade and ayden were adorable with eachother.d i could totally understand wot wade was feeling about their relationship because he was a LA boy and he have seen or hell experience when young guys left him for the guys of their ageBut i love how ayden was in love with himSooverall i like city guy and farmer's son storyI would recommen [...]

    18. I liked this book. If you're into May/December insta-love, go for it! Wade is traveling in the Central Valley of CA when he hits tulle fog, listens to his nav and gets into a ditch. Ayden (said almond farmer) tries to rescue him but his truck slides into ditch as well. Ayden & Wade talk the night away (with some sex in the truck's front seat) and decide to go to LA together. (Other stuff happens, too, but I'm not saying anymore!) Ayden draws gay superhero comics and all ends happily! Eventua [...]

    19. Started out strong, the ending needed to be more developed. I was able to suspend disbelief and take it for what it was. Several emotional moments that were well done, but then the story petered out.(view spoiler)[The main conflicts were resolved easily-which, while refreshing, seemed quite unrealistic. Loved Wade's parents' acceptance of Ayden(exactly what he needed at that point)& Ayden's enthusiasm for sex was amusing. (hide spoiler)] Bonus points for the cover-yum.

    20. I've reed this story twice now and i just absolutly LOVE IT!!! The characters are well written. The arising conflicts are believable. The story does movie quickly since they fall in love after one night .but if your a reader that just loves that gullable, rosie, romance this is a definite read. For me, this is a book i pick up when i want a story to lift my hopes in finding the "right guy" for me.

    21. I think I took this book a little too serious in the beginning. I had difficulty with virgins falling in love, age differences of the main characters, and men not loving each other from sexual position incompatibility. Once I let go of all that, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and just read the book. It reminded me of Cinderella complete with evil brothers. How could you not like a fairy tale with a happy ending.

    22. The age difference didn't bother me. My husband and I have the same gap, so I know it can work. Wade is a bit prissy at times, but that makes him more human and realistic. This is a compelling story, with flawed likable characters. My only niggle was the later reaction of Ayden's family. I found it unbelievable, but not so much that it spoiled this enjoyable tale.

    23. Ths was my first read by Hauser and I was a bit reluctant after reading some of the reviews. But with an eighty-eight percent like rating I figured I had nothing to lose. I didn't, I loved it. I especially connected with Ayden. It was very nice and tissues should be handed out with the book.

    24. I loved this book. It was a great little love story that makes you feel good about life. Is is realistic? NO! but who cares we read for love and happiness and this story delivers. Maybe a little more angst would have been nice but I was overall pleased!

    25. The relationship, age difference, and worship of pulling young tail made me feel squiky when reading this book.

    26. I don't give a lot of books 5 stars. This one did because it made me smile the whole damn time! I LOVED it! Read my full review at Literary Nook! literarynook/the-farmers-son/
