    1. “Somebody", "somebody" is always what everyone's thinking. Acting like there's nothing you can do yourself is the easy approach. But there's always "somebody" who comes forward. Time went by in the world. I wanted to be that "somebody." I'm sure, right now that "somebody" is "you and me.”- Mahiru Shirota 3.5 stars.💙 this review does not contain any spoilers // Confusing at times but funny and entertaining. Servamp is a manga you can pick up just to take a break from reading long series wi [...]

    2. sᴇʀᴠᴀɴᴛ ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ, ᴏʀ sᴇʀᴠᴀᴍᴘsᴀʏ ʜᴇʟʟᴏ ᴛᴏ ᴋᴜʀᴏ, ᴍʏ ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ ᴄᴀᴛooooww~ This story starts out shaky. It's confusing to the eye and takes some patience to get through (something I desperately lack), but the pieces eventually start fall into place, and more characters are introduced, and pretty soon you've got yourself a winner.

    3. Kind of a slow volume, with a ton of exposition. I'm assuming the pace will pick up in later volumes. The villain is deeply creepy in a very Joker sort of way. I was totally charmed by the main character, Mahiru. He cooks, he sews, he likes for things to be simple, and he doesn't hesitate in the slightest before deciding to put his life on the line for others.

    4. The tagline (A vampire cat only serves one master) caught my interest immediately, vampire cats? Yes, please! So I bought it, brought it home and opened it up to read it. The doodle under the front cover made me giggle, always a good sign!Shirota Mahiru is a fifteen year old boy who likes simple things. He is serious and helpful. His class always knows that he can and will help them. He mostly lives alone so he knows how to cook, clean and sew. One day he sees a stray cat laying on the sidewalk [...]

    5. Loved it. The characters, the plot, the dialogue, the art, the freaking cliffhanger at the end of the first volumeSo, so good.

    6. Servamp by Strike Tanaka is a story about Mahiru and how his parents died and his uncle took him in and after that he wanted to live a simple life. Then he took in a stray cat and named it Kuro. After he got Kuro he went to school and was coming back home. He comes home to see an guy watching tv and eating noddles. Then when he opens the currents the guy turns into Kuro the cat then on accident he make a contract with the cat and then the cat explains that he's a vampire. I love this book becaus [...]

    7. CONS: - Sometimes the art style looks a bit odd.- For some reason, there are so many words in random places, making it really difficult to follow along. The pages are completely filled and really busy at timesOS:- I just love all the characters.- More plot- I wanted more after watching the anime- Genuinely funny; I actually laughed out loud, which does not happen often

    8. It is kind of confusing at first, but interesting to keep reading to find out where it's going. Has an odd take on the seven deadly sins as vampires. Once they drink the blood of their "eve" they become that person's servant.

    9. A lot of stuff happened and it is a little confusing but I am intrigued and will keep reading the series.

    10. okay not going to lie I think I'm really really going to love this series. I love the whole idea of this story and Sleepy Ash is adorable.

    11. To be honest I had to read this twice. I gave only 4 stars because I was kind of confused and it seemed a little rushed. But nonetheless I loved this book and ordered the next one!Mahiru's runs across a stray cat that everyone's passing up, not caring. Next thing he knows this cat, Kuro as he named him, is a vampire. A lazy vampire, but still a vampire! Oh but here's the twist on these vampires, they're servants. If they drink the blood of someone then boom that's their master. So Mahiru's not to [...]

    13. I've been watching the anime adaptation of this manga (which just finished last week), and since I'm frustrated with the pacing and knowing that the two episodes I have left are going to be watched, I decided it was time to dig into the manga.Servamp is following a familiar formula with its plot, but I really like the characters and just how sassy everyone is. The art is also really nice and making each person distinct enough to show differences and showcase unique personalities. The slower pace [...]

    14. Actual Rating: 3.5*Interesting but some parts were confusing (re: contracts) and this led to me asking more questions rather than just enjoying the storyline. I really like the characters and am looking forward to watching them progress as the story continues; however, I would also be okay with some of them staying exactly as they are. I feel like there is a lot more that could have been explained in these first couple chapters and that they were really rushed. I didn't really get a feel for the [...]

    15. This manga is strange to say the least. I have the second volume so I'm going to read it, but honestly this series isn't particularly doing it for me. I think it just isn't serious enough. I know it is supposed to be a comedy, but I believe the plot does not fit its comedic nature. If it wanted to stick to a comedy it should have kept a comedic story. The novel becomes annoying because there is a very serious plot happening but none of the characters are serious. I just find myself constantly fr [...]

    16. OMG I love servamp!!! I watched the anime and was excited for more and read some of the manga. It is sooo awesome! It's about this high school freshman who picks up a stray cat that happens to be a vampire and accidentally forms a contract with him. They then work together to protect others against an evil vampire, Tsubaki. The vampires are based on the 7 deadly sins. The vampires are known as servamps, servant vampires since they serve the one that they form the contract with. my favorite serva [...]

    17. I randomly bought this manga from the shelf because it was the only one the bookstore had, and I only started reading it because I randomly discovered the anime will be airing this summer! I watched the first ep and was COMPLETELY hooked into the story. The story is about simple 15 year old Mahiru who picks up a stray black cat one day, only to discover the day after that the cat is actually a vampire. It's not the kind of cheesy vampire story, which really grabbed my attention since I'm not a v [...]

    19. I enjoyed this one. It's funny, even though the characters just stick to their usual phrases. Read it. Most of you'll surely like it ;) Most of all I like the main Vampire Kuro, he's awesome. He's lazy as shit,he's calm as ice,he just can't take important matters seriously (ok, he can, but he just pretends not to)and he's fucking strong and cool and big-damn-hero-like when he finally moves his ass.

    20. So I caved in and bought all six volumes. It has been a while since I bought physical copies of manga, but I couldn't resist picking this up. The plot, albeit a little messy in this first volume, really has potential. The translator has a few peculiar word choices that threw me off though, but that's just me being nitpicky HAHA.Overall, I highly recommend picking up this series if you're into the vampire genre with a twist! (Pssst I'm shipping Kuro and Mahiru SO HARD)
