    1. I read this book as a child and I loved it. It really made an impression on me. I ended up losing my copy and years later I decided to figure out what this book was that I remembered. Now almost twenty years later I finally got another copy and read it again and my mind is blown how fantastic this book is and what lessons can be learned from it.It's a great and inspiring story about a girl who confronts her past and learns to be self sufficient. 2. A neglected classic, methinks, about a young woman who just wants to break with her unhappy past life and make a go of it on her own. Not perfect, but there's something about the main character that has stayed with me. (re-read 7/17)
