    1. Sweet and short little story to warm up to the Holiday season. If only real life romance was so easy!

    2. Paige Coleman has tried to stay away from her beloved seaside Connecticut village after being completely mortified by a YouTube video gone viral showing her in the nude at the top of a whaling ship at Mystic Seaport. But after four years away, Paige must face the town when her quirky, eighty-six year old grandmother throws the ultimate in Thanksgiving weekends to celebrate her recent marriage to a much younger man, Ed Fenwick. Paige’s longtime crush is none other than Stanley Fenwick, grandson [...]

    3. I wanted a light, happy Thanksgiving read for a sad, grim week and picked this one from a list of holiday books. It didn't work for me on several levels. My first major turn-off was the pejorative use of the word "retard" in Chapter 2. After that, well, it's a novella so one should expect less character development and a quicker resolution to plot crises. But I felt none of either. No plot arc to speak of and very little character development. I was far more interested in the teaser paragraph t [...]

    4. Funny short storyI liked the characters in this story. Everyone was full bodied and interesting. Just would've loved for this to be a full length story to see Paige and Stanley's story funds. It felt too short and seemed some of the chapters were cut short. However, it was still a funny and interesting read

    5. I usually love the May McGoldrick books. And this isn't really a bad book, but it is short and really I think unfinished. I got to the end and thought, "What was the purpose of this book?" There should have been an epilogue or something. I mean, they spent years longing for each other and we didn't even get to view the rest of the Thanksgiving dinner!

    6. Fun readThis is so real to life I laughed and shook my head in disbelief all in the same chapter. Loved the inter-generational issues. The high talent of so many and yet the totally normal lives they lead.Read about Paige and Stanley, Shirley and Ed, Ryan and Bob, and enjoy your thanksgiving day.

    7. It was overall what I expected, though much shorter. However, I wished there had been a smidge more suspense.

    8. A romantic comedy about going back home to Betty White type grandmother and having to face the first love.
