    1. Second Hearts begins with Charli in Africa with Mitchell. It's been about a year since they left home and Charli is loving the life she has bute's still madly in love with Adam. And after a conversation with Mitchell, he convinces her that it's time to go to New York to see Adam, if she doesn't she'll always wonder what could have been. So, she goes. Lucky for her, Gabrielle owns an apartment for her to stay at, and sends Charli some New York appropriate clothes.Naturally, everything falls into [...]

    2. Do you know the feeling when you read a really good book that really moves you and then after you're done you feel like you still hang onto those last pages, as if not wanting to let it gonda like the aftermath of a really amazing book.So this is what happened to me and "Second Hearts". I already fell in love with "Saving Wishes", so reading "Second Hearts" was just an easy decision to make. Seeing Charli eventually follow Adam to New York and have her thrown in to a world that is more than fore [...]

    3. I finished the first book in this series, Saving Wishes, at 11:30 on a Monday night, not realizing it was part one of a series. I immediately downloaded Second Hearts, but thankfully I had enough wits about me to wait until Tuesday to start reading it, or else I'm sure I would have had to call in needing a mental health day. I have read it twice more since.Second Hearts was enchanting. I love these characters, even though some of them are at their worst in this book. I love that this is a love s [...]

    4. "What happens if it doesn't work out?" "Then it's not the end!" Truer words never have been spoken. And just like that Charli is in her own fairytale. She conquered the wicked witch, managed the deceiving crowd and still, Prince-not-so-charming needs to find his way back to La La Land and to his princess. The ride couldn't have been wilder had we undertaken it on a dragon.Desperate for book three, heartbroken for book two and ready to saving wishes so all can turn out well.More: bbf-book-boyfrie [...]

    5. Ahhhh! That is kind of how I felt by the end of this book. The book picks up a year after Charli and Adam part ways and she realized she needs to go to NY and be with him. Then I was enjoying the book and thinking how I like how it is a story of what happens after and Adam kept being kind of lame, but I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt and like no no, he is good. I know Ryan was supposed to be the evil twin, but man I liked him WAY more than Adam in this book, especially after the ending [...]

    6. I'm a little out of words, just having finished this bookbut I'll find some! I really enjoyed the first, but I loved, loved this one. The gentle moves from unhappiness to happiness to unhappiness again, we're both delightful and sad. Poignant and beautiful narrative has ensured that this book makes it to my favourite list. Charli and Adam are 'real' characters. More of Adam's flaws become apparent in this story. Once thing is for sure.I need more!

    7. Charli Blake had left her home in Pipers Cove after she’d sent Adam away, declaring she didn’t love him anymore. (She lied!) She travelled with friend Mitchell and one year on was in the village of Kaimte in Africa, relaxing, working for the rent money and little else, still missing Adam and trying to decide what to do about it.Deciding to go to New York, knowing she still loved Adam and wanted to be with him, she was nervous of her reception. Would Adam have moved on, would he have forgotte [...]

    8. This is by far one of my favorite series yet!! I've fallen in love with all characters which is rare! ((I read these way to quickly the first time but read them 3 times over)) I love the love Adam and Charli have for each other and it's a mature love and a smart way to think, even though they make decisions that sometimes makes me want to shake them! But, you have to give love a chance, you try; try again! Just as you would with anything else and if you know you love that someone and you know th [...]

    9. Oh, boy. Someone please tell me that the next book is out very soon, because I need it!I was totally hooked by the end of Saving Wishes (see my review), and now I've been sucked in even further. Second Hearts has a different kind of feel to it, but I expected that. Saving Wishes was about the magical beginning of a relationship, while Second Hearts is about what happens next. There are still hints of magic here and there - when Charli arrives in New York she's full of hope and her usual impulsiv [...]

    10. **check out more of my reviews at girlbooklove.wordpress!Second Hearts picks up about a year later. Charli has been traveling, surfing and being the free spirit that she is. There’s just one thing- she hasn’t been able to get Adam Décarie out of her head. She is still desperately in love with him.“I had traveled a thousand miles from home but hadn’t moved an inch.” –CharliCharli decides that Kaimte, a West African village, will be the last stop on her journey; she is going to New Yo [...]

    11. étonnamment à couper le souffleIn EnglishAmazingly BreathtakingG.J. Walker-Smith has done it again, she's delivered a mind-blowing second installment to Saving Wishes. I'm so in love with this story and the characters, I just can't get enough! This story picks up a year later from where Saving Wishes left us. Charli is finally out doing what she's wanted to do for her whole life, travel the world. Travelling with Mitchell was the best spur of the moment decision she's ever made, and she's absol [...]

    12. *May contain Spoilers*The book wasn't as magical as the first. We go through Charlie's life in NYC with Adam. She obviously doesn't fit in there, and I'm just waiting for it to all fall apart, but than for there to be some great solution for a even more great HEA. As the pages grow fewer, I slowly loose the hope that all will turn out okay for the couple. I started reading this book the minute I could, the minute it was on iBooks, which was sometime in the summer. But than I stopped reading for [...]

    13. The first and only book that I loved even if it left me completely heartbroken. And that says a lot about the story and the greatness of it. Second Hearts taught me the lesson that love sometimes isn't enough. I always always find that cliche ridiculous because I have always been a hopeless romantic and so, yes, I've always thought that love will always be enough. This book proved to me how wrong that was. And in a way, I found that wrongness to be so right. (Cliche, I know)I love Adam, I truly [...]

    14. Oh man I have not cried so much over a book in a long while. Long, long while. But now I'm just left on this hanging endingI don't know how to fully give this a review. I'm stuck with this sense of wonder and lost. This has been one of the all time best book series I could've ever stumbled across. And it all started because of the first being a freebie. I'm a sucker for anything free. The cover had me intrigued. Now I'm going insane knowing I just read the second book in an absolutely must read [...]

    15. Ok, since the first book had the first few chapters of this second book in it, I was curious enough to buy it and read it. It was ok. I guess that Adam's whole attraction to and love of Charlie is simply sexual. He lies to her about his goal of staying in New York and is rather a jerk. Charli shows some spunk in dealing with the rich bitches and Adam's mom, but she is still rather wimpy in ways. She whines about having nothing to do while he is at school all the time. Why couldn't she take some [...]

    16. I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the first book as well. Frustrating at times, but always in the end it worked out. Even though the endings of these books weren't HEA I know there will be one for Charli and Adam. I really liked Ryan's character. I hope there is more of him in the third book and I hope there is more of Alex too. I was disappointed he was hardly int he second book. I hope the third one is out soon. Don't make us wait too long.

    17. I loved this book its great, I love the characters. I do get the true love part but I hope in book 3 she gives someone else a chance on love.e can't pass her life waiting for him to change his ways. Mitchell did kiss her before she bored the plane.

    18. Love love love!! this book. i really hope walker-smith writes 3rd book set around 4-5 yrs later when adam goes looking for charli in pipers cove! i'll save up a million wishes for that book :)

    19. With more of the series unread as opposed to read, SECOND HEARTS also got a second go. And this is where my feelings have changed. Though again I managed to remember basically the entire story as it went along, the ups and downs, the drama and the triumphs, my overall opinion shifted. Initially rated a three I've now bumped this to a four. My issues with SAVING WISHES, Charli specifically, are not present in this second installment. I really liked her character this time around. I vividly felt h [...]

    20. Book Review- Second Hearts by G. J. Walker-SmithIn book two of the Wishes Series, Charli is having regrets about letting Adam go. She is determined to go to him in New York but the longer she waits the more she talks herself out of it. Her friend and traveling partner, Mitchell, finally gets her on a plane to New York. Charli isn’t sure what she will find.In fact her worst ideas come true, but she promises Gabriella to give New York a chance. She gets a job in a restaurant named Nellie’s and [...]

    21. I really enjoyed reading Second Hearts, which is the sequel to Saving Wishes. They are very similar, but it is not a stand alone novel. Full understanding of the first book is necessary to fully comprehend the second. I LOVE the choice of vocabulary that Smith uses, it is vivid and complex and I like to read this book with a highlighter and dictionary. The way it’s written largely attributes to my enjoyment of this book, as the plot alone would not be interesting without the witty characters a [...]

    22. This book was so drastically different from the first. My heart went from jumping for joy, to essentially wanting to murder the entire Décarie family. I never knew that people could be so mean and try to intentionally and unintentionally destroy people all at once. Adam hurt me the most, but I suppose he was just enjoying his five minutes with his true love, now known as Charlie Décarie. If I were Charli and hopelessly in love with Adam, I have no doubts that I would have done the same thing a [...]

    23. The story between Adam and Charli continues in this second book of the series. It starts off with Charli and Mitchell in Africa. It's been nearly a year since Charli has last seen Adam, though her feelings for him haven't changed a bit. After a rather drunk, yet funny, conversation with Mitchell, she decides to set off for New York in hopes of finding Adam and picking up where they left off.As I read about Charli's adventure in New York, it was easy to tell that she was going to have to try a lo [...]

    24. This book needs to come with a warning have a box of tissues handy. My second heart has turned black, I was left completely heartbroken after finishing this book. It had some lovely beautiful moments, but then there were some heartbreaking tears streaming down your face moments too, not to mention the moments where i wanted to go all ninja on someones butt. I can barely see through the tears to write this review. I will be impatiently waiting for the next instalment to be released.P.S I was righ [...]

    28. “Nothing is impossible for a willing heart.”I want to hold onto hope and magic as long as I can and this book reminded me why. This book shows us that living a life without any imagination and believe is a really dull existence. I loved Second Hearts because it was funny, meaningful, mystical and perfect for me. I've been constantly disappointed by sequels but G.J. Walker-Smith can do no wrong when she clearly writes from the heart. "The trouble with magic is that it’s usually an ephemeral [...]

    29. Ahh, this book had so much more meaning than the first and had me engage from start to finish. For one, this one was more dramatic, had more humor, and was utterly devastating, as well as romantic in between.Book one. Adam and Charli meet, and they determine that fate brought them together. They spend two months falling in love, Charli learns a shocking truth about her father but in the end, she still runs. She breaks it off with Adam, and they are both devastated. Book two picks up about a year [...]
