    2. Entertaining Gothic romance. All the usual tropes:Spinster heroineBrooding heroHouse on the MoorsHeroes first wife dies in a mysterious mannerHero has a young daughter that heroine cares for.Who us trying to kill the heroine?Mad Aunt.Entertaining, light reading for all of us old Gothic romance fans from the 1970's.Also no explicit sex for those of you who enjoy a clean romance

    3. Very good, I read it from start to finish. I hope to enjoy more of Blair Bancroft. She has written so many, the prologue of which read so good I don't know which to read first.

    4. Awesome!A wonderful, historical romance that wasn't too mushy and had plenty of mystery to keep me guessing until the end.
