    1. An interesting history of the trends in professional party-political campaigning in Australia. Draws upon rich source material including interviews with authors and public addresses; perhaps is slightly lacking in that there is a deficit of analysis or reflection. Still, is what it claims to be: a fairly ungilded chronology of how campaigning has changed in Australia, and by whom.

    2. Great book about the mechanics of Australian party politics and the rise of professional party officials. It could be a little depressing if you believe they are the devil's spawn.
