    1. You do what you have to do to get through another day… There were good guys and bad guys and some that fell in-between…Life wasn’t always black and white. But…I’d learned I had the strength and courage to do whatever it took to survive.Such is the life that faces Lily, her brother Zeph, and their uncle Sam every day. In a world that has seen most of the population decimated by both a polar shift and a worldwide viral outbreak, many people become regimented pawns in the big cities in or [...]

    2. The author gave me a free copy in exchange for an honest review - I can only say thank you, I wouldn't have wanted to miss reading "Waning Moon". Having started it two days ago I finished it almost in one sitting. It was just so good: easy to read, likeable protagonists, a plot that was actually thought through, solid world-building, Let's start with Lily. She's clever, stubborn and just so human, allowed to be cheeky and brave, to hyperventilate and do stupid things, to act noble and to show co [...]

    3. I thought this book was good. It was like the Hunger Games (more Revolution, the new TV series that on right now) mixed with paranormalness. You know now that I think about it, it is really similar to Revolution. Girl lives outside cities, in a small town. Brother somehow ends up in the hands of the boss people. She wants to save him. Get helps from a boy that is sent to get her (shh she doesn't know that). She finds out about the boy and hates him. Then forgives him later and he saves her life. [...]

    4. In a futuristic world, Lily and her brother Zephyr live in hiding with their uncle, Sam. The government would love to get their hands on the two of them since they were genetically modified, each with their own gift. Sam has cancer due to radiation from the environment and Lily needs to go to town and trade supplies for the medication. It is a dangerous journey but she feels it has to be done. When a stranger falls into one of their traps, Lily decides to help him, regardless of her doubt. When [...]

    5. More of my reviews can be read on my blog Reviews For The Living And The Undead . Feel free to follow me. I love when people follow my blog. Waning Moon by P.J. SharonI received this book from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review. Lily has been gifted with the ability to heal, see the future, and read people's emotions. However, this is often more of a curse because it has led to people trying to find her and her brother who has the opposite power as her. However, Lily is more concerned wit [...]

    6. I've read other books by award winning author PJ Sharon, and I always enjoy them. This book, Waning Moon, The Chronicles of Lily Carmichael Trilogy Book 1, was no exception. I purchased the copy about a year ago, but didn't get to read it until recently. Now I wish I'd started sooner. The minute I finished the last page, I was eager to begin the next book in the series, Western Desert. This dystopian young adult novel opens in the year 2057. Lily Carmichael is living off the grid with her family. [...]

    7. * I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*It is 2057, and Lilly, her brother Zeph and her Uncle Sam live off the grid in order to avoid to their oppressive governmental regime. Genetically altered, Lilly is gifted with the power of healing, while Zeph has a darker power, one that allows him to drain the life force of any living being. Despite her powers, however, Lilly is unable to cure her uncle Sam of the cancer that is slowly killing him. Their world changes when [...]

    8. Non-stop action!Lily Charmichael is a girl with a gift, one which an overbearing government agency known as The Industry wants to get their hands on. The book starts out in a rural town which refuses to come under Industry control, where Lily crosses paths with Will, a young man who has more going on than she is aware of. A trip into the city results in betrayal, a risky escape, and a journey through some unlikely resistance. Can't say much more than that without giving spoilers, but I enjoyed th [...]

    9. What did I think? hmm it was good. not 5 stars good. because honestly I had some issues with it. Would I read the second book? I don't know. I don't think it left me wanting more. I was just kind of ok it ended. it didn't get me excited enough to want to continue reading. that's just my personal opinion.

    10. There was intrique and plenty of compelling drama to keep it interesting. Unfortunately, it protrays Lily as a teenager . . . precisely as most feel, INVINCIBLE! However, she has little comprehension of the fact that she is prone to being vulnerable and naïve. - which can land her in a heap of trouble! Will, seems to have been hiding an unending supply of secrets. Hopefully, her character grows and becomes more discerning in the remainder of the series and he has no more hidden secrets or agenda [...]

    11. Waning Moon is simply excellent, a rare book that I can't fault. It's set in the future in a small town outside of Albany after a virus has killed a large part of the earth's population. The cities are run by a Dystopian government. If you stay in the town, you get fed, clothed and have access to medical care, but you do what the governments wants. Those who live outside the cities choose freedom over security. Lily, her brother and her uncle, Sam, live well camouflaged in the forest. They have [...]

    12. Lily Charmichael lives outside the prosperous, advanced cities solar barriers that provide shielding from the deadly rays of the sun and radiation poisoning of future Earth. Instead she spends her life hiding in a cobbled-together survivalist compound her uncle Sam created to hide his orphan niece Lily and nephew Zeph from discovery. If the agents of the government find the siblings, the little freedom they have will disappear. Lily and Zeph's altered DNA give them each amazing powers, Lily to h [...]

    13. (I rated this 4.5) I fell into reading Waning Moon with the quick ease of a cold person entering a warm room, given a cup of hot tea and a comfortable blanket. P.J. Sharon's writing has that perfect mix of 'the essentials' a reader needs: just the right amount of emotion, reaction, action, plot and backstory. The steady pacing, interesting characters and increasingly intense story made me forget where I was. Lily is a strong young woman, a healer, a caregiver to her younger brother and Uncle Sam [...]

    14. Waning Moon of the Chronicles of Lily Carmichael trilogyBy P J SharonWhen Scientists Act as Gods and then Regret Their Meddling! In the first installment of the trilogy, P.J. Sharon masterfully paints a setting where the reader is instantly immersed not only in the story but directly into the story world. The characters have such depth that they become friends worth cheering. The story progression is fantastic. This is the new “must read” series!Waning Moon is an adventurous coming-of-age sto [...]

    15. An enjoyable dystopian with fantasy (or maybe paranormal, but could also be sci-fi) elements, this book gets 4.4 out of 5 stars. The beginning confused me quite a bit and it took awhile before I could orient myself into the setting. I found the genetic manipulation aspect of the story difficult to believe given that the story is only 40 years in our future. Are they combining animal and people chromosomes these days?I liked the premise, though, and gave the science a pass. The story itself seeme [...]

    16. A Great Read For Young And OldI volunteered to read this for an honest review, and I am so glad that I did. This book was absolutely amazing. The lead character, Lily, is a young adult living in a post-apocalyptic world. She lives with Sam and her brother Zeph. Lily's mother was a doctor and while pregnant with her children, agreed to genetic tampering. Lily and her brother both have special abilities, and the book shows Lily's growth from child to young lady and her struggle with being "differe [...]

    17. I liked this story. I'm a fan of Sci-Fi Dystopian novels. I can't really pinpoint exactly why it only warrants three stars. I enjoyed the adventure, but something was missing for me. This is really a love story and in the end I felt it was missing some clarity. There were some parts that were over-described and it made my head spin trying to imagine some of the landscape. The description of the safe-house was spot on. I liked the relationships between the protagonist and her close friends and fa [...]

    18. I received a copy of this trilogy in exchange for an honest review.I'm going to keep this brief as I can't wait to start the second book. I loved the way the story unfolds on the pages. This book is very well written and easy to read. I had thought it would contain more about the broken world, but I'm anticipating that I'll hear more about that soon. The characters were well developed, without overloading with tons of details that make it hard to follow. I felt like I had a good picture of all th [...]

    19. Awesome read. Lily is a great character - a head strong young woman with a healing ability and a heart of gold. Ms. Sharon pulls you right in to the story and Lily's life. We get to see how her "gift" affects her and those around her and the effect her brother's opposite power has on everyone. Lily feels responsible for her brother and trying to teach him to manage such responsibility. Even the secondary characters are fully developed. You get a sense of just who everyone is - good, bad and in b [...]

    20. I thoroughly enjoyed Waning Moon. It drew me in and didn't want to let go! I love Lilye's a teenager with a heavy load on her shoulders and makes me want to just reach in and give her a big hug! All of the characters in this book were well fleshed out. It was so refreshing! I was disappointed when the story came to an end. Will definitely be waiting anxiously for the next installment!I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

    21. I absolutely loved this suspenseful read by PJ Sharon. I may be an adult, but I'm a huge fan of YA fantasy. Sharon doesn't disappoint with plausible and creative characters and innovations to the world as it could be in the not-do-distant future. In addition to compelling characters, the action is so forward-driving I couldn't put this book down! Can't wait to read the next book in the trilogy!

    22. I liked this book. Not a difficult read and II was pulled into the story and charactersways a good thing. tThe author made me care about our heroine and subcharacters. Set in the future in a apocalyptic work this story could apply to anytime.

    23. A wonderful story that takes us to a future where we have destroy our planet. The story of Lily, her family and friends. Love the way the she describe this futuristic story I feel like I'm inside the story. Great job P.J. Sharon

    24. Good bookVery suspenseful story and a lot of action. The characters are great and I can't wait to see what develops next.

    25. Lots of surprises. A well written story. I wish there was a prequel for more back story to the experiments.

    26. Fans of end of the world type books or even conspiracy theory books will find this page turner captivating. You'll be rushing to grab the next book.
