    1. “There are places on planet earth, where common sense doesn't apply.”----Toba Beta, an Indonesian authorBrent LeVasseur, an American science fiction author, pens his very fist children's science fiction series, Aoléon The Martian Girl, and the fourth book, in the series, Illegal Aliens- Aoléon The Martian Girl, which follows the adventures of a regular middle-grade farm boy with a Martian girl and some Martian robots and aliens to stop the Martian invasion on Earth that takes them to the n [...]

    2. There are conspiracy theories everywhere, but have you ever thought about what happens when the conspiracy theory is real? When the conspiracy is the truth? LeVasseur brings this thought forward in a very enjoyable, SciFi-esque manner that will keep readers hooked throughout. The ‘big brother’ aspect of the story really takes off in this segment. LeVasseur paints a vivid picture as to what it’s like to be ruled by those controlling and watching your every action. And the acronyms that he c [...]

    3. I really enjoyed this 4th installment. This is where the action really picks up and engages the reader. Aoleon and Gilbert learn that the Martians really do plan to invade Earth and are determined to stop it from happening. A few Martians make it to the planet and what happens is really funny. I think younger readers will really love the mental pictures these words create. The story goes back and forth between Mars and Earth for a little bit and it was a lot of fun to see what was going on.Speak [...]

    4. If you think the cover is wildly awesome, wait until you read this book and gaze upon the illustrations. They are something to see. The world is so detailed and the characters leap from the pages in a 3D effect.Illegal Aliens continues the adventure with Aoleon and Gilbert. When last we parted, Aoleon’s parents were imprisoned by the evil Luminon, who are now in pursuit of the two friends when they flee Mars. The Luminon declare war with Earth for the much desired and needed bovines. You need t [...]

    5. In part four, the Luminon is finally ready to launch his attack on Gilbert's planet. It is now or never for Gilbert and Aoleon to find a way to put a stop to Luminon's plan or Gilbert's family and the rest of the people on Earth will meet their fate. I really enjoyed this part of the story. This is because I have grown attached to Gilbert and Aoleon and their crazy adventures. So I just can sit back and enjoy reading this book. Also, it was nice to get to see a few new faces with Bizwat, Helios, [...]

    6. INTRODUCTIONIn the fourth entry of Brent LeVasseur's science fiction saga, Aoléon, Gilbert, and their companions flee the Martian Megalopolis, with the Luminon and Royal Paladin Guard in pursuit as they hope to stop the Martian resistance movement. The cover art features many cows on the ground and in the air, the latter in a flying saucer's trajectory, with the foremost bovine having its mouth open in shock, though it's lower jaw looks somewhat skeletal, loose, and misrepresentative of anima i [...]

    7. More Adventure and Opportunity for Our Curious Mars RoversThis is Book Four in the five book Aoleon story arc. If you're here and you haven't read the first three books, you probably want to go to them. (The first book is at "Aoleon The Martian Girl: Science Fiction Saga - Part 1 First Contact").By this Book Four we've pretty fully established our hero, Earthboy Gilbert, and our heroine, Martian girl Aoleon. Gilbert remains a genuinely engaging hero, but there is so much going on that he isn't c [...]

    8. You guessed it, I'm back again with my review of the next part of Aoleon the Martian Girl! Today is my review for part 4, and I was just as excited to pick up this part of the book as I was with the first three parts. I honestly was not sure that another part of the book could be as exciting and adventurous as the three previous parts had been, but then I read part 4. I think it is amazing that LeVasseur is able to bring in so many plot twists and adventures without it getting at all repetitive. [...]

    9. Aoléon The Martian Girl: A Science Fiction and Fantasy Saga - Part 4: Illegal Aliens picks up where Part 3 left off. Gilbert and Aoleon go to the Space Academy to meet with Bizwat. They both realize that their parents are in jeopardy. Aoleon's parents are in prison, and an attack is being planned against Terra (Earth) which would jeopardize Gilbert's family. They have to move quickly to save their loved ones. With the help of Bizwat, they make a plan. The action in this book is quick and excitin [...]

    10. Note : This review is up in my blog Book and InkThis edition of the series begins with a bang. Literally. The writer apparently seems to have been on a high while writing this edition. Read on to know why!Aoleon’s parents have been kidnapped by the Luminion in order to get to Aoleon. Back home in Earth, two aliens have been captured trying to steal milk. The American president is being briefed about secret research facilities concerning Martians. Eventually, they decide on a course of action t [...]

    11. A short recap of Part 1-3:Gilbert of Nebraska, USA runs off with Aoleon, a Martian girl, who enjoys visiting Earth to practice the art of crop circles. As the pair travel to Mars, Gilbert discovers a whole world teaming with various life forms, societal fractions, and some really bland feeding tubes. The story moves from introduction and scenery change into Gilbert hanging out with Martians; doing what kids there do and learning new information and skills (Galactic History, zero-G sparring, ridi [...]

    12. Uh oh We're doomed! Those were the words uttered by my kids when Aoleon and Gilbert learned of the Luminon's plan of launching an invasion force to capture Terra, plus the recent abduction of Aoleon's parents. Seemed like the Martian Girl had a lot on her hands, and she needed every help she can get in order to stop the evil Lord from his wicked plans. Good thing she had her trusted crew - Gilbert the human, Zoot her brave pet, Bizwat the undercover Procyon disguised as a pizza delivery guy, Hel [...]

    13. The book starts with Phobos, Aoleon’s mother, sitting in a cell and her exchange with a fellow prisoner which leads him to be taken away for interrogation. The grim opening scene (hopefully) written to show us how tough the Martian government and the Luminon are gives us an idea of what to expect. On one hand, we see Aoleon trying to save her parents and on the other we see the Luminon creating and strengthening his army. Tension builds up in an uneven pace in the book. With help from Kyrios, [...]

    14. Aoleon’s mom and dad haven been taken by the Luminon to a deep underground prison. At the same time the Luminon is telling all Martians how they are at war with Earth for cows. Aoleon, Gilbert, Zoot, and Bizwat are going to have to stop the invasion but first they are going to rescue Aoleon’s parents. We follow along as Bizwat gets a robot named Helios. Together they all adventure into the Martian desert to meet up with Kyrios.Kyrios trains both Aoleon and Gilbert on how to use their psionic [...]

    15. Aoleon and Gilbert are back in part four of this funny, action-packed adventure! So far, this part of the book is my favorite. There is so much packed into this small part. If you haven’t read parts 1-3 yet, I suggest you do before reading this review.Aoleon’s parents have been captured, and Aoleon and Gilbert have enlisted the help of Bizwat to get them back. Bizwat picks up Helios, a soldierbot and the adventure begins. The group begins their journey in a saucer, but that is quickly picked [...]

    16. Aoléon the Martian GirlIllegal Aliens Part 4By Brent LeVasseurIn part 4 Illegal Aliens the action starts to intensify as Aoléon and Gilbert are being hunted and the invasion of Earth becomes imminent. And Aoléon's friend Bizwat has been identified as a Martian of interest in regard to Aoléon and Gilbert.Meanwhile Martian spies are targeting Earth's cow population and milk supply. Fortunately the Martian spies are just a tad inept, falling into the custody of the U.S. government. And the U.S. [...]

    17. Aliens are starting to invade earth as Aoléon and her friend try to make it to her parents to free them so they can stop the Luminon from invading earth and taking over and also taking all their milking cows.In one part of this we see that some martian spies have landed on Earth and are wreaking a bit of havoc and stealing milking cows. Some are causing problems in a store trying to get their milk. Meanwhile, Aoléon, Gilbert, Bizwat and Helios are making a long trek across parts of Mars after [...]

    18. I received a free ecopy of this book for an honest review. This is the fourth book in a series. I wouldn't recommend reading this book before reading the first 3 books. In the first book, Aoléon and Gilbert meet on Earth and she takes Gilbert to Mars when they are chased by neighbor. In the second book, Gilbert learns about Martians and that there are other beings besides Earthlings (or Terrans as Martians call us). The third book gets pretty exciting. Gilbert and Aoléon find out that the Lumin [...]

    19. The beauty of this YA series is in how it weaves a story that not only will thrill the younger folks and entice them to want to read (a VERY good thing in my opinion), but it also will allow the adult who may be encouraged to read this as a bedtime story. In fact, Brent LeVasseur might be a banner carrier for the movement to bring back the bedtime story with this amazing tale that is so incredibly illustrated that you have to spend a few minuted with each panel to really appreciate its skillfull [...]

    20. This installment of this sage made me laugh a few times. Especially when artificially intelligent nose pickers were mentioned! The pictures were unbelievably vivid. They looked like high quality pictures. I also liked that they author talked about cows again and made sure that there was going to be enough milk. I really liked the chapter on The Situation Room at The White House. It was interesting to think about how the president would handle aliens. My favorite illustration was of the cows bein [...]

    21. Aoleon The Martian Girl: Science Fiction Saga - Part 4 by Brent LeVasseur Once again, Aoléon and Gilbert are on the run again. They need Bizwat to help. They want to save Aoléon's parents. They seem to escape the from a soldierbot. There seem to be quite a few things going on at Mars and planet Earth. What a mission they go about. Their spaceship get blistered and they land somewhere in Mars desert. The pictures are wonderful. They are down well as of again. This book is wonderul more action [...]

    22. This is the fourth book I have read from this author in his Aoleon series. The book starts off in a bit of political commentary which took me by surprise considering that this is a series for middle grade children. However, it continued on right where it left off from book three after that. The martian contingent is getting ready to strike while the U.S. contingent is getting ready to pre-strike, doesn't that sound about right? In the middle of it all are the people. That figures too.I found it h [...]

    23. I received a digital arc copy of this book from iRead Book Tours in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All are my own opinion and is not compensated by any individual, organization, or company. This might contain minor spoilers. The Illegal Aliens is the fourth installment in the five-part middle grade science fiction Aoleon The Martian Girl. The story picked up from when Aoleon's parents are taken. We get to see the identity of Martian government. My favorite part of this story is when [...]

    24. After the exciting adventures of the last three books in the series, it was inevitably going to be difficult to maintain the pace to the end. Mr Levasseur gets around the tricky middle bit by slightly moving the focus away from Aoleon and Gilbert, who have become well established by now, and introduces us to some super side characters. My favourite of these is Zoot!As the action takes place in the desert of Mars, we are once again treated to some fantastic graphics of the terrain. I can only ima [...]

    25. Aoleon and Gilbert are on a dangerous mission to rescue her parents, a seemingly impossible task. Even Bizwat is discouraged by the difficulty of their undertaking. Their spaceship is blown up and well, you gotta read the rest yourself!Part four of Aoleon's adventure is by far the goofiest! Here are some of my favourite quotes: "Go ahead. Make my millennium", "we stand an excellent chance of catching the Martians with their cheeks in the wind" and “this guy is not firing on all nanoprocessors. [...]

    26. Wow, after part three, I wasn't expecting this one to out do that one but it does. Where does the author come up with this stuff? I don't know but it's great reading. Now, how about a flying saucer crashing on Mars with a Earthman onboard, that's a cool twist. The adventure continues with Gilbert and Aoleon along with Zoot, a rather interesting character plus some new friends get involved to add to the storyline. The plot thickens and the ante is upped with their lives at stake not to mention th [...]

    27. I cannot believe that this series is almost over! With his amazing graphics and action packed storytelling, Brent has kept me captivated for this entire series. His imagination pulls you in and before you know it, another segment of the story is done and you're eagerly awaiting the next one. Sadly, for this series, the next one will be the final one. Fingers crossed that he doesn't stop writing though! I want to learn about new worlds, new creatures and chuckle some more at the funny acronyms th [...]

    28. I know now what the author/illustrator went through to create this series. For example, when you see the surface of Mars, that is not some made-up version of what the surface would look like--it is the ACTUAL terrain! The author went to extensive efforts to accurately model the various objects in the graphics. He actually imported the maps for Mars and modeled his graphics to be true to life.Honestly, it is astonishing the amount of work that went into this series. As always, a very witty dialog, [...]

    29. Part 4 introduced Zoot, Aoleon’s new pet. Without question, young readers will revel in the latest adventures of Gilbert and the Martian Girl. Brent LeVasseur treated us to awesome graphics of Mars, along with his array of incredible characters.Danger lurked around every corner in Illegal Aliens as Aoleon, Gilbert, and friends, prevent Earth’s invasion.

    30. VERDICT: Easy quick science-fiction, with young heroes encountering many violent forces and enemies, in an alien world mirroring Earth and its common issues.full review here:wordsandpeace/2015/04/27/b
