    1. njkinnysblog/2015/08/aI found Marie Long when I read her book, Scarred which is the first book in The Anderson Brothers series and absolutely loved it. Then when I came to know about Marie's newest installment in this series, Scratched, I just knew that I had to read it.While this book is part of a series still it can read as a standalone but it is always recommended that you read a series in order. The blurb of the book is interesting and grips our attention. The cover could have been better. I [...]

    2.  Scratched is the first book I read from Marie Long, even though this book is the second of the series it can be read as a standalone. I did not have any problem with the book plot because I did not read the first.  The story follows Kevin and Trinity. Kevin is a deejay and there he meets Trinity which is one of his fans. He perceive that she is different and he seem very interested to get to know her more but at the same time he is afraid she only see him as Kevin the deejay and not the real [...]

    3. ****DISCLAIMER: I received this book via Njkinny Tours & Promotions in exchange for an honest review. Any thoughts and opinions are my own.***Scratched is the second book in the Anderson Brothers series. It can be read as a stand-alone but I do recommend reading the first book, Scarred. I read the first book and I liked it but I wasn't thrilled about it. I did like knowing a little about Kevin and Trinity already when I started reading this second book. And I think Marie Long's writing has i [...]

    4. I have to be honest, this wasn't my favorite. It wasn't terrible but I had some issues. Let me explain. I didn't buy it. The relationship between Trinity and Kevin was particularly tumultuous but it felt unnecessarily so. Let me be specific. I know that relationships have troubles. Everything is not supposed to be perfect. I don't expect that. BUT, I felt like the things that came between Trinity and Kevin, shouldn't have. Their relationship was pretty shaky from the jump, so even the smallest t [...]

    5. Do you enjoy reading about African-American characters and enjoy reading about books where it's all about the bass, no trouble ? Scratched by Marie Long, I thought judging by the cover would be your usual contemporary romance but I was definitely in for an emotional and bumpy ride as the lives of the characters are anything but rosy and cheerful. Scratched is about Kevin Anderson - he is the middle child and at 24, he is responsible for his younger brother Dom and doing what makes him happy - be [...]

    6. ****ARC given in exchange of an honest review****I gave 4 stars to the second book of the Anderson Brothers seriescause I was truly NOT disappointed by this sequel! I enjoyed discovering more deeply Kevin and Trinity. Actually there are a lot of things I loved but here is what you need to know about Scratched! I think this second book can be read as a stand alone but it was really nice to meet again with Kevin's brother. I admit it would have been nice to read his point of view regarding some of [...]

    7. 3 starsThis book was a quick and sweet read, however, it fell a little short for me. I give it a good three stars, though. In this book we meet Kevin, brother of Dom from the previous book. Kevin is a deejay as well as a basketball player, however he quit college and ultimately gave up basketball a few years earlier in order to take care of family issues involving his little brother. Now twenty four, Kevin wants to move forward with his life and pursue his music and basketball career. All the wh [...]

    8. This is book 2 in the Anderson Brothers Series. It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading Scarred because it is also an excellent book. Kevin is the middle Anderson brother. He gave up his life in college and basketball to help his family through a tough time. His mother and brother want him to go back to college. He is happy to live his life in the DJ scene.Trinity is a huge fan of Kevin's. She is a sweet girl who has a tough past but is making a future for herself. She has [...]

    9. I got this book from the author in exchange for honest review."I found this book really interesting.I reading the book for first time i never read any previous work of the author. The characterization is done well I loved to read romantic love stories and this book really touched my heart. But Blurb also gives you an idea about a love story which urge you to read the book.Straight to the point narration,The plot is intriguing and beautifully executed. Trinity attends almost every one of Kevin’s [...]

    10. So this bookWhere should I start?I guess I should start with my general opinion about this book. I was kind of in love with this serie after the first book (who was perfect by the way.)I would give this book 4.5 stars. Everything is written really well. But then again, I'm sure that I liked this book so much because of the first book. And I got to know the characters in that book. And that's why I read this book pretty quick. I have to admit that I was convinced that this book was good when I go [...]

    11. A strong story. I liked both Kevin and Trinity's backstory. This is book 2 in a series, but I haven't read book 1 and followed along fine. In other words, this can be read as a standalone. Most likely I will go back and read book 1 just to know more of Dom's story. I liked the family of Anderson's. They felt real. I can imagine the struggles to be a cohesive unit after the things that happened, so this felt spot-on to me. I liked finding out why Trinity was pulling away and felt it was justified [...]

    12. After reading Scarred, I really could not wait until this book was released. Kevin caught my attention the way he related to his brother. The chemistry between Kevin and Trinity was undeniable. And though I fell for Dom faster and harder than I ever did Kevin, the romance and chem in this installment eclipsed the previous book. The pace was also faster in this one as well. The male POV was still the same and I loved that. It makes reading the story strictly masculine. I only once, very briefly, w [...]

    13. Scratched is book 2 in the Anderson Brothers series, and it is highly recommended that you read book 1 in the series prior. Kevin is a college basketball player, well on his way to play ball professionally when his dreams are stopped due to a family issue. Trinity meets Kevin at one of Kevin's DJ job's and the sparks fly, maybe a bit too fast in my opinion. I really wanted to love this book but had a hard time connecting to either main character. I enjoy challenging love stories but this one was [...]

    14. I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review. This was an amazing story of a couple who had to fight for their love. They have things in their past that will cause problems in the future, but they fight so gallantly to make it through. It is very well written and the story is set at a good pace. You will be drawn in from the start and not able to put it down. It is so well written you feel all the emotions they fell and go through. Review done by Cat for Cat's Guilty Pleasure

    15. What can I say, I loved this book! I love this story! Great job! This is such a great story of over coming an extremely tough childhood and never giving up on your dreams! This story grabs you and never slows down. Very well written, excellent flow, easy read.Kevin is an amazing young man and so mature for his age. Take the time and read this book! I can not wait for the next one!!!!

    16. A very interesting story. I have it 3 stars because there were some moments where it dragged on with unnecessary detailsbut all in all an AWESOME book. I actually narrated the audiobook version that hasn't been released yet. Should be available on iTunes, Audible & soon.
