    1. What makes this book "Above Average" are the illustrations. They are really good. Having said that, I was somewhat disappointed with the book. I had hoped Danielle Steel's foray into the Genre of Children's Books would be better. I found the book somewhat stereotypical in basking about beauty;presumably aimed at little girls.

    2. Pretty Minnie in Hollywood is the exciting story of an adorable dog and her really big adventure.Francoise and her Chihuahua, Minnie learn they will be travelling from their home in Paris to a movie premiere in Hollywood. Thrilled about their upcoming trip the pair pack the perfect outfits and finally settle in for the long flight. Once in Hollywood they do a little sightseeing then play in the hotel pool. Finally, it's time to visit the movie set. Minnie and Francoise love meeting all the actor [...]

    3. When the book cover has the author's name in bold print, as large or larger than the title of the book, it says it all. The text doesn't flow, and the story is well, I'm at a loss for words. I seriously have to question the good reviews.

    4. Steel, Danielle. Pretty Minnie in Hollywood, PICTURE. Doubleday, 2016. $17.99. Minnie is a teeny tiny, teacup-sized chihuahua. She lives with her owner, Francoise, in Paris. Francoise’s mother gets to travel to Hollywood to deliver a dress she has designed and the whole family, including Minnie, gets to go too! They fly in a plane, stay in a fancy hotel, go sightseeing and swim in the pool. The best part, is that Minnie gets to star in a movie when the leading dog starts acting up. Minnie love [...]

    5. I'm going to admit off the bat: I was curious about this book, because it's by Danielle Steel. While I haven't read any of Steel's books, I've seen enough and heard enough, to know that she writes dramatic! serious! romances - most of which are bestsellers! - and I was curious to see just how she'd tackle the relative non-dramatic foundation of a picture book. The answer? In a very glittery and charming fashion. Steel crafts a short, sparkling novel about Minnie, a Parisian Chihuahua. Her family [...]

    6. First sentence: Minnie is a white, long-haired, teacup-size Chihuahua.Premise/plot: Minnie and her owner live in Paris, France. Francoise (the child owner) and Minnie travel with the Mom to Hollywood to hand deliver a beautiful, glamorous dress to an actress for a movie. Most of the 'plot' of this one focuses on the trip there and back. While in Hollywood, Minnie gets her big break and stars in a movie of her own. My thoughts: Could the cover of this book possibly have even more glitter? I didn' [...]

    7. Chihuahuas are adorable dogs, and canine lovers may enjoy this hilarious romp through Hollywood with Minnie. Minnie and her human companion Francoise live in Paris, and they head to Hollywood with Francoise's mother to deliver a dress to an actress. After sightseeing, they visit a movie set where Minnie attracts the ire of Fifi, another dog who is being prepped for her scene. Not surprisingly, Minnie ends up taking Fifi's place in the film. Although the story line is pretty thin, some readers wi [...]

    8. This is such a beautiful and fun little story about a young girl and her dog going on an international adventure together. Readers of Fancy Nancy will love this story. the art work is beautiful and the pictures are colorful.

    9. Such a cute book about a dog and her child owner traveling to Hollywood from Paris to deliver a dress but who will star in the movie when the original dog gets nasty? Minnie and her owner are so cute and the pictures are adorable and bright. Simple text for toddlers who can sit a little.

    10. This book is appealing because it has glitter and dresses and things that little girls like. But it has basically no plot and is written in a vary boring style.

    11. You have got to be kidding me. This crap is plotless and has zero substance. Danielle Steel should be banned from doing children's books along with other rejects like Jay Leno and Madonna.
