    1. Board book with a beautiful illustration on each two-page spread. Each double-page shows a different animal parent who sings a good-night tune to their children. The two lines of white or black text on each page is light but clear. Each double-page also includes the sound of the animal so that children can participate in the reading of the book. It ends with the human parents singing a lullaby to their baby in the crib.

    2. This sweet story is one of my new favorites for my baby's bedtime routine. I highly recommend this and "Time for Bed" by Mem Fox for newborns. Both make great baby shower gifts. They contain just the right amount of repetition so that you can get into a groove reading them in a soft voice and lull your baby to sleep.

    3. I picked out this book at the library because it had the moon in it on almost every page. But it turns out I don't like it very much, except to point out where the moon is. I get impatient while reading it, and only let mom read it twice the whole time we had it.

    4. Adorable book for babies. I love the fact that both mommies and daddies are taking turns to put the babies to bed, as well as the nice multi-cultural theme at the end of the book.

    5. This book features several different animals singing their babies to sleep with the sounds they normally make a quiet comforting line attached. Very soothing. Babies and up.
