    2. This book has a lofty and worthy goal of documenting those whose deeds and minds contributed greatly to the modern America. The selection of personalities and the highlights of their life time and achievements are solid. Most of the text reads fine -- but I have found that some of them seem to just "end" abruptly without having a feeling of closure -- probably due to the need for brevity of each person: everyone receives about 2.5 pages of text, a portrait, and half a page of picture signifying [...]
