  1. Good short story*May Contain Spoiler*To see this review and others visit readrantrockandrollLost in My World by Rob Powell is a short story about a mental patient named David Polk. I saw reviews on this awhile back and wanted to give it a try. I couldn't remember what it was about and went in blind. The dream just about made me cry. 2. A glimpse into the life, memories and failing health of hospital patient David Polk. I look forward to author Rob Powell's next project!

  3. As I spend a lot of time with dementia patients, other readers' guarded comments told me immediately that the narrator was an elderly person who had regressed to age 15. This story is an accurate picture of the effects of dementia, & as sufferers cannot go into our world, we have to enter theirs. A nurse gave me the label 'therapeutic fibbing' which is really just a way of respecting their reality. I doubt tho' that most pt's perceptions are so well organised.

  8. This short story was very nice to read.In the beginning I thought it was about a young patient in a hospital fooling around with the nurses but when I started to read further it was about much more than that.It is about losing people in different ways so the title is chosen very well. When I read towards the end it became clear what it all was about and it certainly made a good impression.Since my own grandmother was suffering the same problems years ago this is all very recognisable.
