    1. This read YA/early NA. Both MCs were weak and spineless. Renee was a spoiled trust fund baby and TSTL. She would have had to sell the livestock before selling the land. Once she discovered the shifters, she acted as though she was the visitor. The herd needed to move away or work and pay rent. They were lazy and stayed in horse form providing no income to the ranch and incurring costs in food and supplies. Renee was milk toast allowing Lori, her ranch employee and the lead mare, to call the shot [...]

    2. Once again I find myself fascinated by Tamsin Ley's gift for weaving interesting stories. In this title, she uses a mix of myth, modern human reality, and a twist of paranormal shapeshifting that makes this a very believable story. This story is almost an allegory of how greed and the hunger for power can corrupt the noblest of us. This combined with the bitterness of bigotry makes this story very real and appropriate to our modern times. This is the second book I have read by this author, even th [...]

    3. Having fun isn’t hard when you’ve got a super hot centaur guard…. Renee is a country girl at heart coming back to sell her grandfather’s Montana ranch. Little does she know that the horses and people on the ranch hold interesting secrets…Did I like it? Surprisingly yes. It has potential and the writing really isn't bad. The problem with this book I think is that the characters themselves are not well-developed and the antagonist is dismally annoying. If anyone is interested in listenin [...]

    4. 2.75 StarsIt was a seriously short read with an admittedly unique setting that was unfortunately heavily marred by "old news" and paint-by-numbers. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out who the villain is and you'll figure that out very fast.If the author could put some more meat to the bones of this skinny story and add a dash of imagination while she's at it this story would have a lot of potential

    5. Fun light read.Keeping this one short. It has its flaws at times but it's charming and charismatic. Both our hero and heroine are likeable and somewhat realistic (considering he's a centaur). Their love for each other helps develop (keyword being develops not defines) their characters. Surprisingly well done for such a short book, although I do wish it was longer.Black had me swooning~Tdlr: Give it a go. The sex scenes were pretty hot, too.

    6. Great story The story was great. Renee comes to her grandfather's ranch after being notified of his death. Black is a Centaur, and most of the horses on the ranch are shifters. The only problem I have is how are the able to buy things, or go to collage? They mostly don't leave the ranch, don't get paid for working on the ranch. Why was Renee such an insecure puts with her supposed friend?

    7. EhThis was alright, but I felt no connection with the herd. Plus it wasn't answered on what happened to the gold or Steph when she came back. There wasn't a lot of development and just wished for more. Life mates also got brought up last minute and didn't feel the importance . I did like the karma for Lori at the end though and the sex scenes were nice.

    8. This wasn't bad. It was a pleasant enough read, although I found the heroine to be a little too shallow and annoying. I'm also not sure of the point of her friend who leaves after a while and is never heard of again. It was a good enough book to pass an afternoon.

    9. RanchHad a feeling that Lori killed the grandparents . This story like mermen kiss ,you can feel everything that is going on ,you cry, cheer, get mad for all the people in the stories. I'm going to be a devoted fan to you Ms Ley please write more like these and now to book 3.

    10. Another good read from this author. Really enjoyed the first in this series and the novella that followed it. This book is a Good continuance of the series, however about horse shifters and a centaur and not mermen. Bit of a mills and boon-esq feel to it ( which isn't a bad thing )

    11. This should probable be more than a 3 star read.I did really enjoy it and it flowed really well. The characters are well formed and nasty person is great. To say more about that person would include spoilers and I don't do that. Will look into more from this author.

    12. I liked this oneBut I'll be honest here, I did not really like the h. She was just too trustfund baby for my tastes. But the H was fantastic. He derserved better than he got ;)

    13. Cute and fast read Fast paced good for a quick pick up and read. Story jumps right in and never lulls, unique story line

    14. Pretty good story. Black & Renee are good together and I like how there is myth intertwined with reality. Cute, short, & sweet, just what I needed for the afternoon :)

    15. differentthis story was a little different. the dialogue was ok but i liked the story. i guess everyone needs love.

    16. WickedThis was a wicked good book, I just wish it was longer. Tamsin is an awesome writer, and I can't wait to read more.

    17. Could not put it down. I finished reading in one day. The steamy love scenes and action made for a great read. Kept me wanting to read more.

    18. Must readFantastic loved both the characters and their story the true meaning of romance right on these orPages a must read.

    19. Save a horse, ride a cowboy When Renee returns home to sell the family ranch the last thing she expects is to find a sexy rugged cowboy. Black is an outcast from the horse shifter herd. A centaur, part man, part beast, 100 percent sexy. When Renee discovers a herd of horse shifters on the property, plans go awry. Lori the herd leader has other plans in mind and sets a plan to get rid of Renee and steal the ranch. Black is the only one who can protect her, and he will risk his life to do so. Plen [...]
