    1. I really enjoyed The Promise. Amish fiction isn't my usual genre, but Susan Lantz Simpson's writing quickly drew me in. When Phoebe Yoder's baby sister was kidnapped, I felt Phoebe's fear and guilt. And I understood why she uttered a vow to God that she shouldn't have. I struggled along with her as she wrestled with this vow. Phoebe's spunk made me chuckle at times, especially in her interactions with the man who pursued her.Benjamin Miller is a swoon-worthy hero. 2. Delightful! I so enjoyed this book that I couldn’t put it down, and I didn’t put it away until the last page was turned.I can’t, or don’t want to, imagine the heartbreak of having a baby stolen from her family. 3. The promise was a quick read. It kept me guessing until the end I fell head over heels for Ben he was so sweet and nice. I cant wait to see what Susan has up her sleeve next!
