    1. I was pretty excited about this book on reading the start where Phoebe is in the midst of taking out Hugh Jackman's shirt in her blissful dream about the two of them saving the world when her phone rings and the man with a smooth, rich, deep voice at the other end of the line offers her quarter of a million to prepare his two houses for sale, one in the Hamptons and one in Rome. It was Matteo. It was Boxing day and he'd gone through seven interior decorators who'd declined his offer before reach [...]

    2. Phoebe and Matteo are a mix of sweet, salty and sexy. Ms. Wilson has a talent for exposing the best of a character at the worst of times and still allowing readers to fall in love with them. The Italian Billionaire's New Year Bride is a modern nod to the legend of fairy tale angst with a bouquet of heart and a bundle of fantasy. Cheers to new beginnings and happy endings.

    3. I loved the portrayal of Phoebe. She was a very down to earth woman filled with warmth, strength and humor. Phoebe was a perfect heroine for the hero Matteo who was workhorse hanging on to a devastating family secret that he was reluctant to share with his siblings. This is a very sweet and romantic closed door romance with a few memorable swoon worthy moments. This story is around 160 pages in length and ends with an excerpt of another story included.

    4. Harlequin romances are very soul stirring yet to the point. That’s what The Italian Billionaire’s New Year Bride was for me. It had soul, it was emotional but very much to the point making me want more of Phoebe and Matteo Bianchi’s story. In the story, Phoebe Gates is contacted one morning by a man with a smooth, Italian accent, asking if she wants to make a quarter of a million dollars to redesign his home. With her mother’s cancer treatment bills being very expensive, she agrees to the [...]

    5. Once again Scarlet launches the reader into the lives of the two main characters, living and breathing right beside them as we are immersed into each of their worlds. An Italian vineyard owner(Matteo) and a New York interior designer (Phoebe), who would have thought? The passion overflows from the first chapter and keeps giving and giving through to the very last page. Passion for family, passion for work and slowly simmering passion for each other as it deftly takes the reader on a colourful jo [...]

    6. It started with a phone call that could so easily have been a scam but what if it wasn’t? Interior Designer Phoebe had to make a split second decision and luckily for me it was the right decision. The Italian Billionaire’s New Year Bride is packed with electrifying emotions, gripping family loyalties, romance on a global scale and an effervescent joy that makes it an absolute pleasure to read. Great characters, great locations and all in all a GREAT READ!!!

    7. After reading the story, I was happy that Matteo decided to keep the house after all. With outgiving much away, I find it interesting that mental health issues for women were hidden andnot discussed. Post-portum issues are very real. I read another book where this was discussed and the mother's fears were very real. I agree with Phoebe that Matteo should have shared the circumstancesof his mother's death when they were adults. Anyway, it was a very nice love story who both needed to overcome fea [...]

    8. Very original!I loved the connection between the two characters in the story! They were both torn by things in their past, but they were still drawn to each other.

    9. Originally posted on Reading Romance in ColorI wish someone would call me and ask me if I wanted to make $250k dollars! Sign me up! But I’m not an interior decorator and I don’t think my current skill set would warrant that kind of money. LOL!The story started off strong. Matteo and Phoebe are both dealing with tragic losses from their past. Neither one is in any rush to be in a romantic relationship. I could understand Phoebe’s reasoning more than Matteo’s. Matteo’s tragic loss happen [...]
