    1. My, my my. If you could only see the snarky grin on my face! I just finished "Mischief becomes her" by Kasey Michaels and it was a blast to read. I've been a fan of Michaels' stories for several years now, both contemporary and historical, so when I picked up the first 'Mischief' contemporary book and realized it had a connection to her 'Ainsley Beckett' historical series, I was psyched. This second book in the 'Mischief' series continues with tantalizing hints of an upcoming book that will ceme [...]

    2. Two cases solved and 2 to go! I hope this series ends with some shockers but it is good to know where it is leading. I am looking forward to the dynamics of the next one. This story here was good their major issue was an age difference. But they had good chemistry. The dislike from the first novel is quickly dealt with.

    3. I didn't like Jessica in the first book, and I still wasn't crazy about her in this book, either. She grew on me as the book went on. However, it was Matt and all of the unsolved cases that kept me reading and really wishing I had the third book to dive right into.

    4. This book is apparently the second in a series of three about three sisters. I missed the first one about the sister named Jolie who is apparently a big Hollywood star. Pretty sure where that came from so I probably won't bother reading that one. The girls father who was a retired cop was running a detective agency with the oldest sister Jade. She's the one the next book is about and I'm assuming that she'll be hooking up with her ex-husband that is currently living in the same house with her. D [...]

    5. I am a fan of Kasey Michaels. I read the first book in this series and liked it well enough to find this second book. There are three Sunshine sisters – there is Jade, she was working with their late father as a private investigator. Jolie is a movie star. Jessica is is a TV reporter who loves doing ambush interviews for her cable show. This book focuses on Jessica. The 3 sisters are trying to prove their father did not commit suicide nor did he murder a woman. He was a respected former policema [...]

    6. *** "Mischief becomes her" is the second of four light lively romantic capers by Kasey Michaels, about the gorgeous Sunshine sisters. The girls tickle out smiles while solving the apparent suicide of their retired cop dad, and the cold cases that could have caused his murder. The youngest, our main heroine, nervy investigative reporter for cable TV news, Jessica, flirts provocatively and vamps rumpled older widower cop on vacation Matt. Responsible eldest PI Jade is married to, but conflicted ab [...]

    7. This is the first book I've read by this author. Not bad at all, the plot was engaging and I thought it was a nice blend of romance and crime solving. The characters were nice and wholesome, Jessica in particular. She's charming, smart, witty and compassionate, I was also vaguely interested in Jade and Court's story but perhaps not enough to read the next book. I might though because the cases haven't all been solved yet.I always loved conversations between Matt and Ernesto. I also loved the hum [...]

    8. I give this story 3 1/2 stars. I enjoyed the romance, but found the many other storylines to be distracting. This is the second of a series of three books. I read the first one several years ago, but don't remember much about it. The mystery revolves around who killed Jessica Sunshine's father. The mystery was interesting, but wasn't solved in this book, which I found annoying. There are several cases the father was working on, something about a gemstone which brings bad luck, three couples to i [...]

    9. Jessica Sunshine is using her position as a local news anchor to help solve her father's death. It's infuriating cop Matt Denby who just wants to help keep the lovely woman safe and sound. He thinks he's too old for her but can't keep away.

    10. I liked it. the story was entertaining, quick and light. The writing style reminds me of Carly Phillips, which is a good thing. I will look for the rest of the series, book 1 and 3, and probably other books by this author too.

    11. This was am awesome book, I loved the mystery and the romance, though I wish there was a bit more with the mom an uncle.

    12. Loved this book. The youngest sister Jessica and the police officer Matt, are so entertaining! very fun read

    13. Kasey Michaels is sheer genius with the way she is able to suck you into a story! Can't wait to read the next in the Sunshine Girls!

    14. Didn’t suck, but it didn’t do much to keep me interested; the characters are mostly caricatures of what they’re supposed to be.

    15. I thought the story was great and I love how she has connected the becketts from then and now and he mystery of the Empress Emerald. I can't wait to read the next 2 books in the series.
