    1. This is a good cookbook offering a little taste of Egyptian foods. I had the lamb tajine with chickpeas and it was delicious--I'm sure the other recipes are too. I would have wished for a few more recipes, but there are other resources listed in the back if I get the urge to try more dishes.

    2. Not too much to say about this cookbook. It's certainly a quick read, if it can be called a read, and it has some delicious recipes contained within. My one quibble was that some of the recipes include modern ingredients such as rice, tomatoes, potatoes etc. that the ancient Egyptians wouldn't have had. The author does note this and says this utilises modern ingredients and flavours whilst remaining true to the historical culinary spirit, but it is supposed to be "An Ancient Egyptian Cookbook", [...]
