    1. Why this book, you ask? I was on the bus one day, and noticed a woman reading this book on the bus. Gutsy choice, I thought, given the cover art, of, well, a thong. So, my curiosity was piqued, and I ran off to the library to see if it had this book. And lo and behold They did. I love the Phila Library System. So, on to the book. The main character's a bit hard to like. Saucy is her name, she had a terrible childhood with lots of neglect and sexual abuse, and she learns to get by by taking advan [...]

    2. There was a thong, yes. There were, in fact, many thongs of every hue and decoration imaginable paraded before the reader's eyes, but nary a one was on fire. Nope.

    3. I am shocked by the amount of negative reviews for this book. I have read hundreds of books and I usually forget them just as quickly as I pick up the next book. That is not the case with Hot Saucy baby! I can't seem to forget her. In a way, Thong on Fire is a cautionary tale. There are a lot of Saucys out there and no matter how much you root for them they can't get right. There were times in this book where I had a glimmer of hope and she'd turn right around and snatch that from me. That to me [...]

    4. Why I say somewhat ok is because the beginning got my eyes from the get go but, then it's started getting slow to me and I just couldn't keep myself into the book any long. Didn't finish at all. I have to say G Spot got my eye more then this book. But, this book was about Saucy that was growing up being abused by her mom's partner/parters. Saucy dad was killed when she was little her mom was the only one she had but, her mom was so druged out at times. Saucy then noticed that she wanted so much w [...]

    5. I give this book four stars for sheer offensiveness. The only reason I didn't give it five is because nobody in the book got AIDS. I give you the best quote to be discovered in its pages:"I don't know who cried harder, Free or me. I mean, I had tears coming all out my eyes and running down my face. Free's tears was in his heart, but I could still see them sh**s."And I cannot say anything about it better than my friend Mikey Potter did:"How can one sentence do so much? Somehow it manages to be gr [...]

    6. Saucy Robinson.what can I say.we meet Saucy as she is introduced to this world as a child of Asian and African-American backgrounden we sympathize with her as a child who goes through sexual abuse, neglect, and then the loss of her father. But, as Saucy grows, we quickly understand that she is one of those sad cases of a young woman that feeds into her situation rather than rise above it.She gives in to money, drugs, and an uncontrollable sexual desire that ultimatly gets the best of her.Noire ha [...]

    7. A very familiar urban tale of a beautiful young lady in the inner city, with no family support or understanding of family structure or nurturing is starving for attention through fame, and dirty money looking for it in all the wrong places. Destined for a road of heartbreak, no foundation, no loyalty or love. This fiction depiction of a common street tale confirms how a large portion of our youth (males/female) in the inner cities are brought up by the streets, taught by the images which are on [...]

    8. A coworker gave these books to me back in '08 almost a decade ago. At least they got me reading again lol and now I work at the local college library where my book selections have definitely changed but still I'm sure most would consider my to-read shelf quite eclectic to say the least. I can't forget the books that got me reading again after many, many years soa thank you to Sammy & Noire.

    9. I assumed that this booked based on the name was the too sexual books I stir clear of, but I actually enjoyed it! Never judge by its cover literally lol. But it was so real and I felt all emotionsand hate Saucy cause she was so selfish, but I loved the story.

    10. The story of Saucy Robinson was a great tale that was definitely very saucy. She lived fast, partied, and used what she had to get what she thought she wanted in life. The was good from beginning to end.

    11. Why some people can't be happy with the simple things in life I don't know. Saucy is selfish, she jealous and don't know a good thing when it's right in her face.i don't feel Free was trying to change just make her more of a lady. She needed that weather she knew that or not. She was Hood. She's a skank, Free is too nice to her. She needs to learn how to be a Mom. She spends to much time thinking about herself instead of the baby, everybody ha a limit. She deserved everything she got from Free. [...]

    12. Saucy, Saucy, Saucy. She was a spicy mess! From beginning of her young abused life all the way to the end of her self absorbed life. I guess because of her early beginnings, she was never truly able to overcome the lack of trust that another human being had her best interest other than Uncle Swag. This girl only aspired to be wealthy. Nothing else. Oh, maybe famous too. She abused herself so it was no wonder that others abused her as well while she willingly participated. She had one true friend [...]

    13. I read this book for an upcoming genre study my department is doing on urban fiction. Besides, who doesn't want to find out what the title means? This certainly isn't my regular reading choice but I thought it wasn't too bad. It is erotica so the descriptions of sex are very graphic. Fine with me but not for everyone. Saucy had a tough life starting out. Both her parents were heroin addicts and her mother was a Korean prostitute. Saucy was raped and molested from a young age. Along the way she l [...]

    14. What happened during SSR today when I was reading. Sausy had snuck out of her house after curfew and went to a club with her boyfriend then her uncle showed up at the club so her and her boyfriend left and she went on a drug thing with her boyfriend to a restrount. When she went to the bathroom and came back outside her boyfriend was dead in his car and the money from the drugs was gone. So she was in queens real far away from where she was living and had to find a way home. So she got rides fro [...]

    15. I was intrigued by the name and book cover, looked promising but I don't even think I finished this book. Seemed like every time I started listening all I kept hearing is how she was Chinese and black and sexy then a mf I'm like ok ok we get it already let's move on!!! The sex scenes to me were mediocre guess cus I've heard much better. I found myself saying yeah yeah yeah yada yada yada. I thought maybe I just wasn't in the mood of this type of book at the moment so I backed off gave a few days [...]

    16. This book seems like a knockoff of Superhead's book. I found certain parts to be extremely annoying. The character had no morals, no self-respect, and no conscience. She did what she "thought" she had to do to get where she wanted and what she wanted only thinking of herself & not caring who she hurt in the process. But her nasty ways helped better the two people who loved her lifes. I wouldn't recommend this but it did keep me reading. However, I think this book may be good for those female [...]

    17. Summary: Saucy has a bad childhood. Then she works her way up to becoming a star. But fame goes to her head and the consequences could be deadly. Why I Read This Book: I was discussing urban fiction with a colleague one day and she said that she had seen one with a ridiculous name, so I decided to read it.Review: I actually enjoyed a lot of it from a psychological, sociological perspective. As a white-girl from the suburbs, I have no common experiences or cultural norms as Hott Saucy. Unfortunate [...]

    18. Yes, I'm rating Thong on Fire more highly than The Other Wes Moore. Maybe because smut is more compelling than poorly constructed narrative nonfiction. It's a perspective thing - I'm more well read in the narrative nonfiction genre, so Noire gets two stars because of my ignorance. Anyway, this book was off the hook ridiculous. The thong was figuratively, not literally, on fire. There was tons of sex and drugs and some slang I didn't understand. Some people died. The cover is a little risque, so [...]

    19. this book was so NASTY & VIOLENT. beside the sexual parts its very good and defianlty an eye cathciner soon as yu read the first senetce. all my friends have read this book and they all say the same thing that they love it and i do too. i recommanded 16 years of age and older to read this nothing lower than that but this is an very intersting takes you up and down on rollercoaster making you want to know whats gonna happen next!

    20. Thong on Fire: An Urban Erotic Tale by Noire . This book was difficult to complete. This is seemingly a glimpse into the many inner cities globally. Drugs, crime, hate, and abuse are being gleefully subjects of movies and television drama programs.Saucy, a beautiful lady raised in such an environment including lack of a family caring for her during youth to maturity, went on to the expected results ending. There is a reason I do not watch TV. A tough read.

    21. What an emotional book. I really wanted a different ending :-(You know a book is good when pulls you in an keeps you captivated.Saucey antics got to me around the middle. That when I started hating her character. Well I will stop listening to other reviewers and judge for myself. I put off reading this book because it had so many bad reviews at top.

    22. Great bookI love this book. this book is about a girl named Saucy who feels like she is the best thing walking. she has that "nobody's holier than thou" thing going on. she hurts a lot of people that love her along the way. I think everybody has a Saucy in there life. I know I do. I'd recommend this book to anybody. Noire is simply the best!

    23. very good and not surprising at all the things the girls would do for fame especially the mixed breeds and drug riddled ones they know no better. it action packed and very real. i felt like it was a movie i was watching in my brain and it was off the chain. i enjoyed it very much and it was not disappointing at all.

    24. I was very disappointed with this book. I tried and tried, but I couldn't finish it. This book had no substance, it was truly a book filled with sexual acts and it was disgusting. And it was hard to tell if the Saucy character was narrating from the past or present. I just didn't know where the story was going and I didn't want to find out.
