    1. I really like the way Barbara Walvoord writes about higher ed topics. She has an uncanny knack for making sneakily complex issues (like assessment, grading, etc.) seem so utterly simple. However, her making complex issues seem simple does not amount to an oversimplification. It's just that she works to give busy teacher-types the most user-friendly way to ENTER into these complex issues. It's up to us to grow our understanding in complexity from there.
