    1. A fun, fast paced pirate adventure romance story. Some good twists in the end too. It took me nearly half the book to really warm up to these characters, but once I did I found myself really enjoying this book. I had some small issues with our heroine claiming to love her fiancé, but so quickly forgets about him and finds love with our hero. There is also the unbelievable subplot of decorating her private room with nice linens and furniture, and adorning her with pretty clothes that fitc. Even [...]

    2. Except for the cover having a man with dark hair, I found this book to be fantastic. I love it. So much You have the bad boy hero, the woman who has attitude, and high seas adventures. Even the ending didn't get all mushy. I want to write about it on my blog, but since I am not complaining. I just stare at the blank page and say. gosh that was good!

    3. Hmmm, quite possibly the best book with a pirate that i have read so far! And that is saying a lot b/c I have read a Julie Garwood book with a pirate and you know how much I love her book's!! This was my first book by Kinley MacGregor (of course I'm no stranger to Sherrilyn Kenyon!), and I was pleasantly surprised! I did catch her using some phrases that were worded in a way that fit's more with our time, not the late 1700's, but it did not distract too much from the story. And some of the thing [...]

    4. My review contains spoilers and they're mostly my thoughts as I went with the book. This one's got 2 parts.Well well well, I like this book. I did have some empty moments in the beginning regarding the heroine and her activities but now, it's beginning to look like a fun ride! The story begins with a journal entry from some lady mentioning the name of pirate captain Black Jack Rhys, who is the terror of high seas. I don't know if that woman was kidnapped or went willingly but in her entry, she me [...]

    5. Oh my! Jack Rhys, you rediculously sexy man ;) This book was amazing. Jack is such a great hero. I wasn't sure if I would like the whole 'Pirate' thing. But I was really surprised with this book.Jack meets Lorelei and her fathers party. He's in desguise. And she is imediately distracted from her boring fiance Justin.Justin uses Lorelei to try and identify Jack. She succeeds, but no one will believe that the man she points out is really Jack.Jack is also intrigued by her and quickly devises a pla [...]

    6. Master of Seduction is a pirate tale about Black Jack Rhys and the beautiful upper crust Lorelei Dupree. In an attempt to get his revenge on his enemy Lord Wallingford, Jack kidnaps Wallingford's future daughter in law Lorelei. Lori is a strong willed and fearless girl who is trapped in a proper world she rebels against constantly and yet still manages to stay in. When Lori gets taken she fears what will happen to her but finds herself unable to be anything but strong with Jack. They begin a rel [...]

    7. Master of Seduction - G+MacGregor, Kinley (aka Sherrilyn Kenyon) - 2nd in Sea Wolf seriesAll lovely Lorelei Dupree had in mind was helping her fiance and the city of Charlseton by setting a trap for the infamous pirate Black Jack Rhys. She certainly never intended to let him kidnap her. And she most definitely had no intention of losing her heart to a man so skilled in the arts of love that they called him the master of seduction.Black Jack Rhys had a score to settle with an old enemy.Kidnapping [...]

    8. Oh Lord!!! And to think I bought all the books in this series (6 total I think)I hope they at least get a little better because this one was bad. One day I'll learn my lesson and buy one book at a time, but I thought since Sherrilyn Kenyon(she writes as Kinley MacGregor) wrote these they would be good, but this one was not.

    9. Notorious pirate Black Jack Rhys vows vengeance against Admiral Gabriel Wallingford and decides to beard the lion in his own den. Alas Wallingford isn't in port and Jack becomes distracted by pixie-like Lorelei Dupree, who just happens to be engaged to Justin Wallingford. 10. "Master of Seduction" is a fast-paced pirate romance. Both Jack and Lorelei are confident, smart protagonists and their love/hate relationship and their constant bickering/bantering is fun to read about. There are plenty of serious moments. funny ones as well, and some that are just plain unrealistic and not very believable. Best of all, however, there is a surprising twist at the end. All-in-all, I enjoyed reading this novel.

    11. When Jack kidnaps the enchanting Lorelei Dupree he gets more than he bargained for when she steals his heart. Determined to seek vengeance for the death of a man he considered a Father and to avenge the betrayal of his Mother Jack regrets that the price will be Lorelei's love, but when she stands up for him to Lord Wallingford he embraces the new life she offers him.

    12. This is the first book I’ve read of this author and it was really good. I really liked the main characters and the interaction between them. The plot was interesting with a couple of surprises along the way. A good read.

    13. I thought this would be a bit more fun to read. The adventure kind of falls flat. It was more like a romantic comedy.

    14. 4.5 out of 5 rounded up to 5This thirteen year old historical from Kinley MacGregor (actually Sherilyn Kenyon) was a very enjoyable read. I have said before I am a sucker for the "pirate/heroine on board ship" romances, and this story filled the bill. With this type of story, you need a solid, alpha, sexy hero and Black Jack Rhys is all that and more. Anyone looking for swashbuckling adventure may be disappointed, as most of the interaction is between the H/H is below decks, which was fine with [...]

    16. I almost get tired of complementing her books, so yes indeedonce more Sherri has proven herself the amazing author she truly is at heart. One of the most entertaining qualities within Sherrilyn's novels is the fact that her two main characters are not what I often call "blanket white." Both the male and female leads have a past that is significant and influential to the character in the present. Often times, for the male role, their past is generally rather horrific. Such was the case for Jack Rh [...]

    18. First, ignore the cover. The hero may be named Black Jack but the guy has blond hair and gray eyes, not black hair and dark eyes as pictured. This is a story of two arrogant, over confident people. Lorelei Dupree believes she can tame any man; and Jack Rhys believes he can seduce any woman. In the course of assisting her fiancé to trap the pirate Black Jack, Lorelei is captured by Jack who intends to seduce her to exact revenge on her fiancé’s father for killing the man who was like a father [...]

    19. Normally I can't read historical romances, they're boring and I have a hard time imagining the scenery and the outfits and everything else. I just cant form the image in my head. But this book was so amazingly written that I had absolutely no problems being able to visualize everything. This book is about a pirate named Black Jack Rhys, he's the baddest of the bad and he knows it too. Only thing is he's charming and witty to boot so we can forgive his asshole-ish behavior. Enter the lovely yet s [...]

    20. A good book, but it's obvious this is one of MacGregor's earlier series. The book took a little longer to take me away than her others. But in the end I warmed up to it. Lorelei is convinced she can wind every man around her little finger, while Jack knows no woman can resist him. Each tries to seduce the other without being seducted themselves. I especially liked the part where Lorelei stumbles upon Jack while he's sleeping NAKED! :P She likes the view so much she comes up with a plan to be abl [...]

    21. There wasn't one single chapter in this book I did not love. The story was touching as well as full of adventure. I loved Lorelei with her surprising strengths. She was the perfect match for Black Jack Rhys. He is not your traditional pirate. He shows compassion only when warranted. Yes, he kidnapped Lorelei. But it turns out that he used it as a weapon against his worst enemy. Even though the kidnapping was not personally directed at Lorelei, it certainly became personal. I loved his sense of h [...]

    22. Here's another one where the pirate is more of a gentleman than most "gentlemen" of the Georgian romance. This time the heroine is less of a stock character. She comes from pirate stock herself, so it's surprising to see her trying hard to fit into the society mold, be a good girl, and find happiness in a normal, respectable life. I liked the characters and some of the emotional situations late in the book really caught me up. Good read.

    23. The pirate with a heart of gold (secretly) is not one of my favored plots. Because, well, it's ridiculous. I mean, you really expect me to think that this pirate, who ruthlessly murders people, is totally a nice guy? (Also, they smell.) But despite this, I still enjoyed the book. The plot was utterly ridiculous in places, but hey, if I'm believing in this nice pirate stuff anyway, I might as well just go along with it.

    24. eerm It was okay I guess. In most novels like this you get this big climatic fight at the end where as in this one. Erm. The resolved the situation by talking hmm. It was kind of a boring book. The action sequences barely lasted and were resolved quickly. The biggest thing that happened didn't even hold the characters back at all. A little jealousy as per usual but all in all quite a boring book, but an easy read.

    25. I went into this book with hopes for a good read, since I like everything that Kinley MacGregor/Sherrilyn Kenyon writes. I was disappointed, though. The writing was choppy and the plot was similar to so many other historical romances. Jack was a cookie-cutter pirate hero and Lorelei was so shallow and flippant. I didn't hate the book, and I made myself finish it, but it certainly wasn't as good as I expected.

    26. When Jack and Lorelei met neither of them were expecting a great adventure or a love between them, but that is exactly what they got. Jack had never loved before and Lorelei was engaged but had no passion for her betrothed. Adventures on the high seas, old family secrets, and losses and gains make this a wonderful story. Great read!!

    27. This is my first book by this author and I'll definitely be reading more by her! It was a very entertaining story with a predictable ending but the ending had a nice little twist to it. However, I did feel that one of the character's "misdeeds" was not addressed but overlooked in order to tie up the story hence making the ending somewhat hard to swallow. But all in all I enjoyed the book!"
