    1. Insightful look into the co-founder of the notorious Crips, Stanley 'Tookie' Williams' path to redemption. It was rather sad knowing what Tookie's outcome was whilst reading this book. It was a powerful read, and one of great magnitude in my eyes. A hardcore thug who turned his life around on Death Row: educating himself and becoming conscientious of his past actions.Tookie's story is incredible in that he truly did transform himself into a better man. I was really moved towards the end of the b [...]

    2. Nobel peace prize nominee/leader and Founding member of south central,s Cripps .Stanley Tookie Williams finds peace and humility from introspection. Of black on black crime and past self hatred from inside a system of mirrored hatred . Tookies claimed innocents while omitting detail in the incompetence of the prosecution's case. Is inconsistent with the rest of his story. while the state's incompetence and undue suffering caused in Tookies final hours is not.A brutal and thoughtful life of contr [...]

    3. Very articulate in demonstrating the beginnings of the organization and transition from thug, Crip (leader), street legend - to ones capture and eventual imprisonment. Tales from Death row told from his side of the bars, Tookie. And a testament to his stance on promoting an end to gang violence, drug abuse, gang initiation and steering youth away from the vices that plague the streets and are contributing to the self genocide of generations of black youths.

    4. An interesting read. Great if you're after a true insight into what it's like to face continual racial prejudice and having absolutely no chance of upward mobility. It's yet another good reason of why the death penalty should be banned.
