    1. This is the second book in the Usborne Very First Reader series, and my ESL daughters are enjoying working through the books. This particular book gave us opportunities to talk about what different words actually meant (like pot and nap). I love that the sounds remain the same for the child learning to read, and it's not as overwhelming for them. I also love the additional activities included in the back of each book. Not the most interesting story, but great for helping a child learn the basics [...]

    2. Love these books as they are a part of the Usborne Very First Reading series. They are great stories and include activities for comprehension, rhyming, word choice, etc at the end of each. Our son loved the whole series!

    3. My son and I are both enjoying the Usborne Very First Reading books. This is book 2. The parent reads a page and the child reads a page. Nice way to acquire sight words and build fluency, plus the parent models fluency.

    4. 33 months - I like that this is a co-reading book. Adults read the left, kids read the right. Puzzles and activities at the end. We will have to re-visit these books.

    5. A fun book for early readers to encourage them in their reading skills. Great for those interested in dressing up as different characters.
