    1. Grace in Autumn (Heavenly Daze, #2) by Lori Copeland Charming book about the year long residents of Heavenly Daze. Mail pours into postmistress Beatrice Coughlin's post office. Non locals have heard there are angel assistants living on the island and people always seem to need help. The local art gallery owned by Charles and Babette Graham needs a new roof but they are tapped out and the non locals do not come to the island during the winter season to buy art. When they sell a piece of art their [...]

    2. This is the second book in the Heavenly Daze series by Lori Copeland and Angela Hunt. For me, this series is sheer entertainment during an excessively busy time in my life. These books are an easy to read saga with a likeable cast of characters. They are not deep or intellectual, but there are some deep concepts portrayed in a straight-forward manner. I especially liked the doctrinal notations at the end because there are so many misconceptions about angels and our focus must always be Jesus Chr [...]

    3. Great book, I laughed so hard I cried. The characters are so likable and "normal". I think what I like most about the book is the fact that I can relate to the character's personalities. Like all Christians, the inhabitants of Heavenly Daze struggle with doing what is spiritually right and avoiding the choices that only feed the flesh. I love the references to biblical quotes and the descriptions are well thought out. The authors detailed description of Heaven is beautiful.

    4. I really like books that can teach a moral lesson without being in your face about it. This was OK, but SO in your face about it! :) It was a little too cheesy for me. EXCEPT that I really liked the story itself and thought the authors did a wonderful job of painting a picture of this beautiful little island town with a warm bakery, people dealing with the in's and out's of life, characters with spunk and personality, etc. I just think they could've left the angels out of it! hahaha

    5. Heavenly Daze Book 2 in series. Still waiting to read #1 but each book could stand alone. Reading in order would make some of the character lines a little easier to understand. Angels are among us even if we don't know!! Some of the times an angel has to "step in" so that "we" can see our blessings.

    6. These Heavenly Daze books are sweet. In this one, when the Island patriarch dies, there are some comforting words about death and mourning. They are written from a definite Christian point of view. The residents do have their disagreements, but this is a very tiny community and it would be hard to stay angry with someone when everyone is so interdependent.

    7. This second book of the Heavenly Daze series was so encouraging! I loved the themes of forgiveness, God's provision and the power of prayer. Looking forward to book three.

    8. This is a good easy read and I enjoy the people and the storyline. This series always has a moral which I like.

    9. This book just seemed a little too simple and predictable. Also hard to relate toe love stories with 70 year old people and local slang. Cute-ish, just too simple.

    10. Awesome story and more! How easy it is to see the failings of others and miss our own so completely. This book is bringing some ahah! divine moments. Thank you Lori and Angela, good job!!

    11. I would highly recommend the Heavenly Daze series (5 books). I originally read this series 2002-2005, and now I am re-reading! If you like small-town Christian fiction you will love!

    12. Still not LOVING this series, but I am going to continue reading. At least it's an easy read and the scripture references are good to read as I'm plodding along. On to number 3.

    13. Decent EntertainmentThe story was simple and entertaining, even though I felt it was often a bit trite. It kept my interest and was an easy read.

    14. Cheerful and warmThis was delightful book that brought warmth when I needed something cheerful to read. Believable characters and loved the everyday challenges in this story.

    15. WHAT!Whoa, people. I did not mean to add this book. I have not read it! Yikes, how did that happen???
